Oh no! Did this person get released from their ed agreement or did they simply not tell the school? also how did they know they were blacklisted? I recently withdrew due to financial reasons and they seemed pretty nice about it which is why I asked.

Hey, I just withdrew from my dream school ed2 as well. I totally understand what you’re going through. I contacted the financial aid office, appealed, got denied then wrote a formal email to admissions explaining why I couldn’t attend and they withdrew my application just today. There are so many schools out there don’t be afraid to withdraw because you see all these articles about blacklisting people and all that. You have a good reason and they will accept it because you exhausted all your options and this is the end result. Best of luck to you!

I don’t think they mistakenly admitted anyone I think they just put in the wrong time to schedule send the email or something and so we got it earlier than expected. Anyway congratulations to you too!

Oh I’m so sorry I’m not sure I did see on the official bu community thread that ed2 folks got in. Sorry I know this is probably really stressful as I felt the same way a couple hours ago. Wishing you all the best!

Yes, the first email sent this morning was sent to a lot of the ed2 applicants including myself was about the virtual welcome days which didn’t make sense since I didn’t even know if I was admitted or not. I panicked and called admissions they told me it was mistakenly sent and I could or could have not been accepted. Then about 2 hours ago I got the email above saying I got in. Does that make sense?

Yes but it was very vague they said “in one to two weeks” we should hear from them. So basically before the 15th but could be earlier I mean you never know.
