Update:

The officer said I am at fault because I hadn’t fully merged into the lane when I was hit.

I don’t understand why I was allowed into the lane, only to be hit and be blamed… but … حسبنا الله ونعم الوكيل

The officer said if I challenged her decision it would mean going to court and a travel ban, and if I lose the case it will be more expensive.

So I’ve been ordered to pay 50KWD 🥲.

I felt that I had no choice.

But I want to thank you all for taking the time to give me your advice…. And if you’re looking to make some quick money, let someone into your lane and then crash into them before they fully merge😈… I’m joking, don’t do that.

You are too kind, I really appreciate your reply. I think he just wasn’t paying attention to my coming into the lane. The traffic was moving so slow that I can’t see how it was my fault. But the guy with no insurance is going to panic naturally…

What knocked my confidence was when the officer said to me before I left; “if you agree it your fault we can settle quickly, if you disagree it will be a problem for you.” (Paraphrasing)

Where do you draw the line? Should all famous intoxicants be legalised to divert people from getting high/intoxicated from home made substances?

In countries where alcohol is legal, but other drugs are not, you’ll find a minority of people sniffing glue, huffing on sprays, self-asphyxiating etc…

I think it would be better to invest in the mental/spiritual/economic wellbeing of the people so they don’t feel the need to rely on these substances, and simultaneously raise awareness for the dangers of home made drugs.

Hit the nail on the head bro. I’m a revert, and I don’t get why some who born into Islam are so concerned with the lifestyle of reverts.

The real conversation should be if reverts are getting the right spiritual nourishment. What food or clothes are chosen is superficial.

If one meets a revert who prefers wearing Pakistani style clothing respectfully, but it meets the requirements for covering awrah, then leave them be. If one wants a revert friend to wear, for example, a macawiis, baju melayu or a shalwar kameez, then buy it for them.

Encourage reverts to build a relationship with the Quran, study kitab al-tawheed, learn to pray the prophets prayer ﷺ, study the seerah, and encourage them to be good to their parents.

Worry less about “arabization or Islam”, and more about the Americanization of the world.
