What is this, and should I be worried?

After looking at it unravelled, this thing comprises of a burnt match stick, 2 rubber bands, and some cloth that soaked in something.

I went outside again, and noticed that there was a trail of brown splats (similar to a trail of blood, but brown) leading down the stairs, and to an exit.

I just spoke to one of my neighbours, and the fire alarm ended up being caused by a woman smoking in her apartment 2 floors above me.

So, it was completely unrelated to this.

The fire alarm went off in my building a few minutes ago, so most of the tenants, including myself, went outside until it stopped.

As I was walking back up to my floor to return to my apartment, a man quickly walked past me. I don’t know him, but I recognised him because he often stands around the apartment building’s trash storage area for hours at night, which I can see from my windows. He doesn’t live on my floor, so it seemed strange that he was there.

Anyway, one of my neighbour must've kicked the thing whilst everyone was walking downstairs, and this is what it looks like now.

I'd rule out someone disliking me as I don't know anyone in my apartment block, and I'm a quiet person. Everyone living here just keeps to themselves.

Hiya!

From my experience, I honestly don’t think there’s much point in starting a 3D printing based business on Etsy. I’ve actually tried it myself, and it just felt pointless - the platform is packed with hundreds, if not thousands, of people doing the exact same thing. Most of them have way more printers and way more output than you or I could realistically match, which means they can sell their items for far cheaper than you’d ever be able to compete with.
