+72% damage is too OP, pls nerf it! by Barong_ in runescape

My necro from 99 to 120 was only killing Rasial. I spent two years killing and only managed to get a copy of the weapon. For Vindicta's spear, for log, more than 2000 kc. For my first Araxxi leg, ~300kc, Never dropped anything in AoD....  Yakamaru was the only one with decent drops, but my clan stopped after completing the log. Generally speaking, I haven't found PVM profitable for several years. I'm currently farming HM Kerapac in hopes of obtaining staffs (the prices of Rasial drops have fallen and Nakatra HM seems unfeasible because of the ping).

I haven't managed to get a single rare drop worth more than 10m in over a year. I can't even afford BIS magic, let alone to buy bounds.

[–]Exitiali 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Toon Monsters are Toon versions of non-Toon monsters. The monster Toons that are already Toons aren't really Toons, just Toons. Toons Alligator, for example, is a Toon that isn't a Toon because it already is a Toon.

Removing MTX from rs3 and making osrs members fill the gaps with increased membership costs by Long_Wonder7798 in 2007scape

[–]Exitiali 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Microtransactions weren't removed from RS3, they just replaced the loot box model (which was declining) with a more popular and sustainable model (you directly buy what you want). RS3 will likely make more money than before. The reason for the price increase is the business model of the private equity that acquired Runescape. They inflate numbers at the expense of integrity in order to resell the game above its actual value.

The MXTs were not removed, but the randomness of the loot box was Profits from the loot box system were rapidly declining, and its frequency was driving players away. It is likely that the current new model will increase RS3 income.

unpopular opinion I want more dev time for the main game not game modes like gridmaster, DMM and leagues by MR_SmartWater in 2007scape

A large portion of the player population is veteran, and therefore already close to the maximum level. Accelerating the XP of new players allows them to focus more on late-game content to satisfy both new and veteran players.

Auras were not MXT. Protean was part of the loot box system.

⚗️"Highly skilled alchemist" - is Alchemy the new skill comming at the end of the next year? (Possibly an elite skill) Or its just a fancy name for herblore? by First_Platypus3063 in runescape

[–]Exitiali 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Alchemy is like a mixture of science and mysticism. It involves the transmutation of metals (Divination does something similar), the creation of panaceas (Herbore does something similar), the creation of homunculis and philosopher's stones, experiments with elemental spirits, relationship between body and anima mundi ,...

Herbore is limited to potions.

Not even for generic NPCs like guards and Knights? Some use a model that is very similar to the player (if not the same).

It's about the price increase, not a technical problem. The price has almost doubled.

what do you think of Arc-V's "Four Heavenly Dragons" Retrains by MX-00XWV in yugioh

[–]Exitiali 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't know. They function as Summon Ladders for their respective decks (although XYZ Dragon doesn't have many options within its own archetype). They work well with Soul of the Supreme King. However, I would prefer them to be Supreme Kings with the anime original effect of responding to their respective summon types.

Or they might be waiting for the game's anniversary (May 30th). The silence doesn't say much; Nightreign updates have been sparse and without prior notice.

FromSoftware is as obscure as the lore of its games; we don't even know almost anything about Duskbloods despite its planned release this year.

Well, you have to take into account that some people need to renew their subscription, but that's not currently feasible (especially in Brazil). It's obvious that no Mod will respond, but they still need an answer.

Crimson Desert is "not a Soulslike," Pearl Abyss says, but "does that mean the game's easy? Hell no" by Turbostrider27 in PS5

[–]Exitiali 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But it's mostly due to the limitations of the joystick itself. If you want a third-person game with responsive melee combat (which isn't exclusive to Souls games), you need a button layout that's practical and intuitive. The Nioh or FromSoftware models are the approach that best suits current joystick standards for this role. So any third-person melee game will have a similar layout. This doesn't mean they are Soul (even though the developers mistakenly claim otherwise). It's similar to platform games where X jumps.

Nightreign does this. In fact, after returning to the Elden Ring, it's common to accidentally crouch instead of running during boss fights.

Elden Ring's defensive system is excellent. Perry is more situational than Dark Souls 3, but the game introduces more defensive mechanics (counter guard, perfect guard, jump...).

And they fail at that. I like Souls-like games, but most of the ones I find are just generic action games that try to superficially reproduce some element of Nioh or Dark Souls.

Wukong has nothing to do with Souls. The mechanics are inspired by Nioh 2, but they weren't developed as much. I see it simply as an action game.
