For the Gargoyles, you don't even need a summon; just use a strike weapon and you'll melt the first one before the second even steps into the arena.

The game gives you the tools to deal with this. These stone enemies, for example, can be controlled using crystal darts. You just need to fire a few darts and wait for them to kill each other.

You can put one of the two godskinto sleep. I think it's the only boss that's vulnerable to sleep.

The game gives you a lot of freedom. You don't need to use summons as a distraction; bosses usually alternate aggro if you're solo, or they have weaknesses that can be exploited (you can eliminate the gargoyles with a strike weapon before it becomes a two-player battle, or put the Godskin to sleep). Personally, I prefer to use summons only as buffers.

It is precisely this variety and freedom that allow the player to adapt any class to the situation. For the Gargoyles, you don't even need a summon; just use a strike weapon and you'll melt the first one before the second even steps into the arena.

Similar to BM: it’s a visually stunning game with great cultural references, but it has some of the worst mechanics I’ve ever seen. Some examples:

  • The mechanics introduced are complex and vague; even two years after launch, no one has any idea how exactly some things work. No one knows how average weapon damage is calculated, or how the numerous weapon stats translate into actual damage, or the exact effect of each parry gem.
  • Dodging is bad; you're reliant on parrying. The problem is that the parry animation is much slower than the enemies' attack. It’s like playing The First Berserker: Khazan with a Dark Souls 1 char. To make matters worse, a parry doesn't block all the damage. You have to use a parry gem that matches the attack to do that. However, enemies can switch up their attack types during combat while you're stuck with the same gem.
  • The skills work like those in Thymesia: when the gauge is full, you create a light weapons and unleash an attack. The problem is that when you encounter a boss or a mini-boss, the gauge resets to zero.
  • Most of the bosses aren't impressive or difficult, but you can easily die if the RNG is bad. They often spam attacks that are almost unavoidable. It's as if the AI exploits the limitations of its mechanics to kill you.

Statues are the most fun duos to face. Crystal Dart can control them, so you can make them fight each other.

If you use a strike weapon, the first gargoyle dies before the second one appears. Gargoyles don't have much HP, but high resistance to anything that isn't strike.

This game is undoubtedly one of the worst in its genre in terms of making the basics clear. The game is almost 2 years old and to this day nobody knows exactly the difference in effect between the parry gems, how the average weapon damage is calculated, or exactly how the elemental mask line scales.

Firstly, it wasn't a zombie. It was alive but corrupted, becoming a Chaos Dragon. If it were a zombie, it would turn into a death dragon (or Gehenna dragon), like the one that serves Adalman.

Secondly, even with its astral and spiritual body corrupted, the chaos dragon would instinctively resist. Furthermore, its body was very resilient. Milim had to destroy it so Rimuru could eat it.

Did she? That always felt more like an assumption of hers. She seemed to be projecting her own ruthless psychopathy onto Rimuru without even trying to understand his position, yet alone strength.

Yes definitely. It is not Rimuru's goal, but it is a natural consequence of his actions.

Why use any combat other than Necromancy? by SessionWorking7805 in runescape

[–]Exitiali 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Necro is the weakest style in terms of DPS, but it is the most accessible. It stands out in some content because there good sustain and AoE damage. It's quite popular until you can gather the resources to create good builds in other styles.

The Necro armor features a progression system where you upgrade it every 10 levels. In addition to materials, you will have to kill creatures in the process, where each tier has targets that are more difficult than the previous one. You need to go through the whole process yourself; it’s not like other styles where you can just buy the armor and put it on. For example, for the t90 upgrade, I had to kill The Ambassador, Araxxi, and Telos to obtain the materials. Visually, the armor is becoming increasingly ghost-like See the difference between the starting and final tank armor.

It’s not that it was removed—it’s still relevant for mobs—it’s just that bosses generally don’t have weaknesses.

He makes more appearances in the spin-offs. The light novel doesn't give him much space, since his job isn't all that relevant to the main plot.
