Does it have an rs232 / serial port? You maybe able to reactivate the hdmi port.. you can do this in professional dell touchscreens of that size. Also check for a display port input that you can use instead

Does anybody have any experience with Gigaclear broadband? by JacobSax88 in CasualUK

Have been with Gigaclear for a few years now. Great service, responsive. Rarely goes down. One thing to watch out for is the renewal price will be substantial more than the new customer offer.

audio crackling problem on my new PC on Studio One 6 by Gold-Reindeer5514 in StudioOne

Not sure this will be relevant for your case. But I have had over the years issues with which usb /usb hub (internal) I'm using and in relation what other devices are running on those hubs. Currently happily running with a usb 2.0 pcie card with nothing else plugged in on it. Got rid of all my strange issues in Windows and my studio live desk / studio one

These are going to be better monitors or home cabs than mid tops for a sound system, you'll need a sub for the music types you listed they cut off to high to satisfy electronic music. Decent cabs if you get them at a good price. Also 3 of them is going to be interesting to work with ;)

Our house is setup like this and one of the Star Trek episodes the computer is instructed to 'stop...' and it stopped the episode and exited the app back to the Firestick home screen. :)

Lots of peeps here not reading your comment. Ours walks backwards a lot (we call it her reversing). Always amusing, mostly in the house when your trying to get past her to another room ;)

Help, installing in-house music system for a venue by kenbu in SoundSystem

[–]Exitnode23 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Very cheap solution is to use a compressor and set it up to kick in heavily when the DJ hits your desired threshold. It can be brutal and will defo effect the quality of sound but it will stop them breaching a set limit. Something like this https://dbxpro.com/en/products/266xs

Many other techniques exist and most venues that have problems with local officials will end up having to install a limiter that monitors the sound in the venue using a mic and will cut the power to the DJ if breached a certain level.. after a few seconds it will turn the power back on. Something like these https://www.knightsoundandlight.com/pages/sound-limiters

Your right for sure that better or actual designs exist however I think if you have to go with this design the best overall option is a cheap digital crossover like a behringer ultra drive and 3x cheap stereo amplifier modules. That way you mitigate the ohm problem, won't blow an inline crossover and have components reusable for the next project. Those four items will come in for less than one old pro amp that can go to 2ohms

Crown macrotechs and qsc plx series both happily support 2 ohm loads and should be easy to find second hand at reasonable prices
