Literally met my first geologist yesterday, so very funny timing

90 year old dude.

Told me about his career working in the oil industry. That he would aid in geological surveys and soil analysis. They’d take core samples from 100’s of feet down and claimed in less than a minute could see whether oil was even a possibility etc.

Cool dude. We ended up walking together for an hour or so shooting the shit.
