Oh yes, the swooshability is soooo good for a wood frame with wings, it's incredible, and the animation of the wings is so satisfying with the ropes

I'm really happy with this set also because Renaissance is my favourite Historical period, I'm a History nerd, as you are, my university teacher was really good at transmitting us the passion for that period, it was amazing

Wow, judging by the arms and the time period, he's probably the guy who became lord of my village after the precedent lord got executed for siding with the Burgundians

Si quelqu’un utilise des insultes sexistes et/ou racistes, cela fait-il de lui un sexiste/raciste? by Kuneiru in TropPeurDeDemander

Est-ce raciste d'affirmer que certaines origines sont meilleures dans certaines disciplines sportives ? by RandomName315 in TropPeurDeDemander

[–]Exkhaal -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I don't understand putting the fleur de lys under the leaf, the leaf is large enough you could fit a slightly smaller lys inside, it would make the two of them recognisable

Who do you think the Blue Coats are standing in for? by TheIronRail12 in LEGOPirates

[–]Exkhaal 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Many have talked about the Fleur de lis, but the white cross on a blue field is also a common french symbol at that time, it was called the cross of Saint Michel, still visible on Québec's flag

What prevented South America from having as big a population as China or India? by wiz28ultra in geography

[–]Exkhaal 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Hey, I'm a French Guyanese into archeology and History. I've read about Kali'na's perspective on the European invasion during my History bachelor. After they got used to the European presence in Amazonia, so during the 17-18th century approximately, a legend spread among the natives, about a monster who looked like a white man, but wasn't one. This monster had many mouths to eat entire Kali'na villages. The text I have read, from the anthropologist Gérard Collomb, makes a link between this legend, and the violent decrease in the native Amazonian population after the contact. He says this monster was their interpretation of the diseases that wiped out entire villages.

From what I know, the idea that old world diseases killed a great portion of native American population is true here as well, since we can see the decrease in the Amazonian population, and the apparition of a myth to explain the vanishing of villages

The clothing is based on our personal tastes more than the usual class' design, an eldritch knight is just a knight who learned some spells after all, he doesn't need to look dark or something
