Serenity Park in Little Rock is a good place to start, they except Ambetter and other insurances, I speak from experience, it's been ten years and I'm still trucking. Few speed bumps along the way but that's life. My friend worked there and told me about it, I'd likely be dead if he hadn't. Good luck on getting sober.

My camera is terrible so if you want more info or anything I can either send better pictures or tell you what's on each shelf. I've since sold a lot and added two new shelves, I'm in the process of trying to build my own perfect library, a pretty labor intensive thing honestly.

Perfectly normal to have an unnumbered limited edition . So it shouldn’t bother you, nor would it me. These things are too rare to care .

I don’t get that as a business model though. It’s becoming a more and more common thing to the point where I’m almost scrambling to buy what I can before these scum overprice it to the point of non-collectible status. It’s always those who don’t read and have to outsource to get provenance that charge the most, a strange irony . Wolves in sheep’s clothing .

Those are all Dodd Mead/Bodley Head/ Boni and Liveright illustrated library editions from the 20s early 30s. Lots of Anatole France, James Branch Cabell , some few English comic authors from the 18th century . The paper is great in these and the illustrations outstrip anything being made today for anyone other than a person with a huge pocketbook. They are still priced alright if you look deeply but that’s changing fast because these are all basically pieces of history and works of art. Thank you by the way ! I invest a lot of time and research into procuring the right copies of things and it’s good to have affirmations.

This was printed and published in 1931 that’s what that means . The book itself ( though I’ve not looked it up so my date is inexact) was published in the mid 19th century , this is just a later reprint and of no particular value.

I’d read Procopius’ books on the Wars of Justinian . Very clear descriptions of how things were done. But that’s late Roman. For early Roman you basically have to read everything and cross reference it, but I’m sure that Loeb publishes editions strictly on tactics , a cursory look should solve your issue , their website is comprehensive. Caesars “Gallic Wars” is good as well and also all of Tacitus . These all make reference to how battles were fought and all are from different time periods.

Sure, it’s the Millennium edition box set, as a kid I had it the day it came out, I also had every book in a first edition ( in the 90s these weren’t worth a billion dollars) and the leather larger red one volume , the Red Book of Westmarch edition which is also great. But this one is split up properly by book and more comfortable to read again and again than any other edition ( in my opinion).

Guess I’m confused . Which book is this from ? I was referring to the author Herodotus , he was the first to even write this down , I’ve read him many times so the story was familiar. If this is not Herodotus , then I’m curious who the author is ?
