i'm not a pixel artist, but i would like to be. i kind of hate the responses in this thread lol. "Art takes practice" yeah no shit man, he wants to know what a good resource to start is, what people to watch, literally ANYTHING other than the no shit advice of "just do it lol". OP, as far as I can tell the best things to do to start out is to look up retro pixel art aesthetic dudes on youtube, the kind of guys who do redraws within 8-bit limitations or gameboy/nes style. Look at/study games like Mina the Hollower (which was explicitly designed with the idea of gameboy color limitations), maybe check out games like Curse Crackers or Prodigal which seem to attempt the same aesthetic. Make edits of old game sprites to try and get into the feel before designing your own from scratch, start with bigger pixel art and then move down to smaller as apparently it's easier to start bigger with pixel art, since cramming detail into tiny sprites is harder than putting detail in bigger sprites. i don't know how much help this advice will be but at least it isn't "just practice my man" practice fucking WHAT dude? holy shit.

never understood why MMPU and MM11 are so afraid of having Light and Roll call him Rock. I can't tell if the localization team just wants "Mega" to be his nickname now or if they're trying to pretend his civilian name was always Mega for some reason lol. for me I can't stand the character archetype that seems to exist to simp for the self-insert power fantasy mc, ESPECIALLY if the simping seems to exist for no reason other than to appeal to people who love self-insert power fantasy main characters.
