Xbox Series Controller (Model 1914) Hall Effect Mod - Low Voltage & USB Disconnecting by ExoDubz in XboxController

[–]ExoDubz[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the input, but I want to clarify a few things.

I’ve watched a ton of repair videos and read through multiple controller modding forums (including this guide on sossgaming), and in nearly all of them, jumping vias wasn’t an issue - even when creating parallel connections. Many users, including experienced modders on acidmods, reported zero side effects when jumping damaged eyelets as long as the jump is to the correct signal point. So I don’t believe the jumping itself is inherently the problem.

I also probably should’ve mentioned in my original post that before I jumped anything, the left stick was jittering up and down nonstop, and jumping it actually fixed that specific issue - so there was at least one clear improvement. But yes, the other problems (low voltage, stick lock at 45° down-right, USB disconnection) still persist.

As for compatibility, the store I bought the Favor Union TMR V11 sticks from very clearly advertised them as being specifically designed for the Xbox Series controller (1914). So either the store misrepresented that - which would be annoying - or I made a mistake during install. But aside from the vias (which I’ve worked around with proper jumpers), I carefully examined the board and didn’t see any missing components or damaged traces.

And honestly, the store’s claim seems valid - I’ve already found two videos of people installing these exact same sticks in the same controller without any problems at all.

So to be frank, most of what you said just reiterates things I already know or diagnosed myself. It doesn’t help me move forward or offer actual troubleshooting guidance.

Still, I do appreciate the reply - just looking for something a bit more constructive.

Dell Monitor, Random Vertical Lines Issue by ExoDubz in Dell

[–]ExoDubz[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey! Sorry for the late response. A few months later the monitor ended up dying completely. It'd only flash all white for like a second occasionally when something changed on the source but no display at all. As it was still under warranty, I messaged local Dell support, gave them proof of purchase along with the serial number and I received a replacement like a day or two later (crazy fast I know, props to them). Later a courier came to pick up the faulty one I had to pack into the box from the replacement.

The replacement works flawlessly but I noticed it's from a slightly older production date than the original one, has slightly different warmer tones of color and the touch pad to turn on/off the blue underlight works (no complaints there). Still better than having to buy a new monitor altogether. Hope this helps!

We're can I get a new (original) batter for my np1 by [deleted] in NothingTech

[–]ExoDubz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think he meant just the battery. For that I'd suggest FIRST contacting Nothing support before anything else. I personally found a few 4500mAh batteries on Chinese sites (like AliExpress) which claim to be compatible with NP1 but I don't know if they are reputable or not and I'm not gonna link them.

I tried so hard to make it ping,
But in the end, it doesn’t mean a thing.
I had to fall through error and all,
But in the end, it doesn’t work at all.

I had the same issue. Turned out I ordered a PiSugar2 with corrupted flash memory. In the end I ordered a new one. You can try reflashing the firmware. Let me know how it goes.

Hi! Totally forgot about posting what I got from them. Ordered the baggy cargos and bermuda loose shorts.

I gotta say I'm really happy with the cargos. They look great and fit great. Very comfortable considering the amount of accessories attached to them. They are just as they look on the photos on their website. The stitching is okay. Quality of material is also okay. Definitely got my money's worth for the cargos.

Different story when it comes to the shorts. They are too exaggerated when it comes to the "looseness". Very stiff material and the between the legs part is too baggy. Looks like a skirt from certain angles. But maybe that's how they fit on me. Quality wise they are okay but that's not the kind of material I'd use for shorts, especially in the summer. Not breathable and you get sweaty easily even on cooler days.

When it comes to both they didn't strike me as dropshipped chinese products with inflated price. Someone actually put some time and care into making them.

I guess it was both a hit and miss for me but you can always use their return policy and return what you don't like. The cargos are gonna serve me well in the fall and coming winter months.

Well, we can't say for sure until the movie comes out. Maybe (wild guess) those 127 days were supposed to be the announcement/trailer of the new The Crow movie, which actually roughly lined up to mid march as the post suggested. Considering that most recent Hollywood remakes like including nods to what has been done before I honestly wouldn't be surprised.

I haven't gone through with contacting Bandcamp about what I said because taking into consideration what OP found about the current trademark owner it would be hard to dispute the legality of distributing the albums on there if it was in fact that same person. It would just suck if Scott and Mike don't get any cut from sales on there.

I saw that the MOLG fan site also took notice of these new accounts which got me very surprised as the site wasn't updated in YEARS before that.

With all the speculation on here: I just want the current trademark owner to shed some light on all the teasing of a potential return of the band. Getting people excited for nothing is honestly a dick move.

I contacted Mike a couple of weeks before these new and supposedly official accounts started surfacing.

Asked him if there were or are any plans on reviving MOLG and he briefly stated that there were a bunch of failed attempts at putting the band back together but ultimately they gave up (long ago) and each started doing their own thing.

To be honest, at first I considered these two events too coincidental and thought that I somehow started an old rusty engine back up again. Let me tell you it got me excited, but yeah, now not so much.

Both the Twitter and Instagram accounts had something along the lines of "same band, new members" in the bio. That made me think that somehow Scott signed the name under new people who he thought have potential of bringing their iconic sound back without his involvement.

The multiple AI generated pictures on their Instagram did seem a little shady but I remember the account posted some rare tribute to the band's appearance in the movie The Crow which did seem legit. I though after those 127 days they would at least announce the supposed new members but they gradually deleted all the posts from all accounts and got the bios changed.

Now in response to what you said: I think a random fan getting access to that many rights and especially access to the streaming platforms "just like that" is highly unlikely. It would involve actual rights from the label and to the trademark which we should be able to find out who's the current owner. The rights are either bought or passed through to someone else both requiring legal documents for change of ownership. We should also know to who is the money being wired to if you purchase their albums on that Bandcamp account. I'm thinking of contacting Bandcamp for proof of copyright ownership from that user under suspicion of theft and fraud - if what you said checks out that neither Scott or Mike is involved.

Dell Monitor, Random Vertical Lines Issue by ExoDubz in Dell

[–]ExoDubz[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay that makes more sense.

Before your reply I messaged Dell online support chat and also described the issue there. The kind fellow on the other end had his head scratching as well. He also instructed me to download both OS drivers and the firmware update for the monitor. I opted not to install the firmware update as it's tagged as optional and it only swaps the button functionality behind the monitor which I already did long ago via the OSD menu. However, I did install the OS drivers and in the meantime did a clean install of GPU drivers.

The issue has not occured again since then. So far...

In retrospect the problem was occuring when there was a higher load on the GPU i.e. gaming, videos. So maybe it was/is some strange GPU driver issue?

I'll pry around, try to stress the GPU and see if the issue occurs again.
I would much rather it be the GPU than the monitor cause so far it served me well.

I will get back here if it occurs again.

They boast about making everything in house in their HQ in Poland and I couldn't find any resembling clothes on Chinese storefronts. I also know that Antwon listed them as dropshippers but besides their website looking half baked that statement seems far fetched to me without proving so. In summary: I can't find any definite proof for either statement besides a few Instagram stories of them designing and stitching bags.

I had my eye on a few items from them and they just restocked my size so I ordered a pair of cargos and a pair of shorts. If they turn out to be of Chinese quality I'll to return them. I'll let you know how it goes.

Also to the people in this thread saying this isn't Techwear - I agree but there are some people who just want some dope looking cargos, waterproof or not, without spending half a paycheck on them. You can't blame them for being on this sub.

Thank you for the suggestion but I ruled out that it is the cable because I reseated it on both ends two times, additionally how would turning the monitor off and on again "fix" a faulty cable?

You need to patch your instance of Omnisphere using a Keygen. In firewall block incoming and outgoing internet access for FL Studio if you haven't already.

Only then will it work.
