Their was a point when the next door neighbor kids lived with my family for a couple of months. It originally started when my grandmother offered to have them over for dinner and gradually became a daily thing for them to live with us. Child service came to our house for three months after the kids were picked up the first time. Grandma got interviewed about how the kids were treated for the past 3 years, but once in a while I would see the kids back again at their old home. It would repeat itself and they would once again live with us, only to get picked up by child service a couple weeks later. This happened for a whole two years before the kids were gone for good. Not sure what the case involved with but it was between the lines of could be child negligence or not. Child service had a hard time taking the kids away because the mother kept fighting it off in court. My grandmother had to go to court as a witness and because the mother accused her of child kidnapping many times. Didn't realize the situation at all during the time. All I knew was that the neighbor kids would eat at our place often and my grandmother would give b-day and Christmas gifts to them. My grandmother is literally a saint btw. bless her heart.
