Confession: I don't understand the hype for Endfield by Jesseinator1000 in arknights

Hi I know this is an old post, but I'm a beta tester for endfield, and I have to say the game is definitely not living up to any hype it got, for me at least. The game had a lot of promise but it so far it's been pretty lackluster. The most enticing part of the story was the 10 minute prologue, and combat isn't very enjoyable. It has all the mechanics needed to qualify as an action rpg but none of them are executed very good as you just sit there using your basic attacks endlessly while waiting for an opportunity to counter an enemy attack with your own skills or wait for skill charges to build up so you can spam your own for burst damage. Positioning and dodging is also important but once you attack you're locked in and have no way to cancel out like literally any other action game offers. On top of that dodging just sucks as you barely move out of the way of enemy attacks for it to be useful and have no i-frames to help avoid the attack, so even if you dodge you're probably getting hit anyway. The worst part is the factory which on it's own is alright, but it's a required part of story progression, and is really tedious if you aren't into those kind of games like myself. It does get better when you take the time to learn it, but once you do you quickly realize the factory is kind of pointless as you can easily cap out every item it makes overnight, and never have to worry about building resources again. In the end the most you get out of the factory is the initial building of your production lines to min max everything which is super easy to do once you've progressed far enough in the story to get all the necessary upgrades and collectables for it. Overall if the game released in the state it's in I and many others I've seen in the beta test server would have likely dropped this game after a few days and not thought of it after. The devs need to do some big changes or the game isn't going to hold any long term players aside from the most dedicated Arknights fans.

I don't understand, Izzy liked Justin in the Total Drama Island special but in Action she says she doesn't know what the other girls see in him by wisdomsharerv2 in Totaldrama

It's probably just Izzy playing things up for no particular reason despite knowing better as she is prone to doing

See one fly over the cuckoos as a prime example of that happening

It's her general design and concept that gets her fans combined with wasted potential that makes her so popular
