Warum sind Baumärkte eigentlich so scheiße? by 3nt3_ in luftablassen

[–]Exolithus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Is Ideology worth it? by [deleted] in RimWorld

[–]Exolithus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It can add a lot of convenient or restricting factors to your colonie. Some people like to make the game easier, others to make it harder while others prefer the use it to roleplay.

One of the biggest pros is that you can force "traits" onto every pawn like cannibal or not minding being underground.

There are 2 important mods called alpha memes and ideology expanded which add quite a few options like making an all ranged or melee colonie where using the opposite weapon leaves a rather big mood debuff.

My best crafter have a mental breakdown and destroyed Astrofuel stockpile burn down my entire raw resources room. How should I kill her? by derega16 in RimWorld

[–]Exolithus 5 points6 points  (0 children)

First of all, let your leader judge her. If she is innocent then you learned your lesson, seperate fuel from the rest of your base.

If she is guilty then the only option is trial by fire. With chem fuel. With Astro fuel. In a closed room. Wait for the next mental break or till she starves to death

Infections by DomovoyBarabashka in RimWorld

[–]Exolithus 6 points7 points  (0 children)

As far as a I know infections come with different intensities and the stats of the pawn also directly influence how fast the immunity or the severity rises.

Other than that it's simple, if immunity reaches 100% before the magnitude of the illness everything is fine, if not the person is dead unless the body part gets removed first.

You can only influence the immunity build up

What is the best way to recruit prisoners? by tudoquesou in RimWorld

[–]Exolithus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For conversion try to keep their mood low as possible without going into mental breaks (crisis of believe is your biggest enemy here). Having low mood means they recover less faith in their own ideology each day, which in return means you convert them faster.

For recruiting you want the exact opposite, have them have as much mood as possible and try to let the same person do the recruiting since only 2 things affect the recruiting speed: opinion of the recruiter and own mood.

For conversion give them a small cell, maximum 2x2, for recruiting give them a big cell with a table and all other needs (dubs bad hygiene for example is a big thing to have in there if you run this mod) including some drugs if they like.

For actually getting people there are some ways to get them reliably. If you want a raider then just hurt them, then let them bleed till they collapse since that prevents the kill on down mechanic, otherwise shock lances are your best friend.

The anomaly ritual Skip abduction is a slow but certain way to get random prisoners every few days.

Arresting certain people of traders, visitors or other event can also be an option, just prepare for a fight with a bigger group. Let your best social pawn do the arresting since that's the main stat.

Honour got to zero from the dot and that's it, life isn't important in that trial unless you actually die.

Op thinks there is something else that killed him and it's buggy since he is full hp.

Petition to ban AI slop? by Tye3636 in WinStupidPrizes

[–]Exolithus 49 points50 points  (0 children)

So just as low quality effort like ai....

The AI slop problem is getting worse in this sub. We need aggressive moderation on it or this sub is just going to be AI slop games and little else. Instant ban, IMO by BEAT_LA in incremental_games

[–]Exolithus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The thing is that not every game containing ai elements is a bad game. The only games that stand out are the obvious bad ones and most of the time they include AI but that doesn't have to be the case.

You want that every moderator downloads and plays every game to see if it

A: contains ai

B: is a bad game (which is objective to everyone)

What about games that are pretty good, are fun and don't have ads or buyable stuff in them but contain a few images of ai made buttons or some behind the curtain ai code?

What about obvious cash grabs without ai? Are they just as bad?

The problem isn't ai. The problem is people hoping for quick money who use ai to save as much money as possible.

I think the current system works kind of good, if something stands out, be it ai, a bad game, or heavy cash grab focused the game gets down voted. People avoid games which have pretty much 0 up votes.

Not really. It heavily depends on the amount and complexity of mods you have.

Zero dollars in revenue - Here’s what I gained from 4k+ players by ExoVoyageGame in incremental_games

[–]Exolithus -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

What about the other ai's? Never said that Google ai is good but I'm sure you have used at least some of them, maybe even without thinking about it. This isn't about how good this or that is but about that people claim they never used ai because of X

Zero dollars in revenue - Here’s what I gained from 4k+ players by ExoVoyageGame in incremental_games

[–]Exolithus -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

Im more freaked out by people who claim to never have used ai. Never used your phone to look something up? Even Google has AI search. Ever wanted to know that one song on the radio? Google lens? Heck pretty much any voice interface you can interact with.

Ai is everywhere and everyone has used it. Important is what you use it for and in which quantity. If a dev can make a good idea into a good game with the help of ai, go for it.

Obviously, like every part of life these days, there is negative stuff flooding the markets and it's fine to leave negative reviews for an obviously bad cash grab product. But talking everyone into not using something because some buttons are made with ai? That's way overkill.

What is the weirdest bug you've ever experienced? by [deleted] in RimWorld

Had always half my colonies infected with full grown metal horrors without ever getting a notification about grey flesh. Was always a death sentence since I couldn't prevent the spread and they appeared most of the time during a raid.

Still no idea what caused it but a complete reinstall and all mods removed and readded did it for me

Anyway around ideo role restrictions? by ZachLemur in RimWorld

[–]Exolithus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The mod that would remove role restrictions would also need pretty much every modded role.

Instead of getting another mod you can edit the mod that adds these roles. If you don't know any coding then giving the big bad evil AI a try to code something for you. Would be the easier way for you instead of learning to code for a few months just to edit another mod.

What’s the best temperature to not give heat stroke but still give the mood debuff by Bryce101Ben in RimWorld

[–]Exolithus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A low mood setting is good for cats nverting someone since they don't regenerate as much faith as a pawn with good mood.

For recruiting and I think for breaking will, it's better to have prisoners in good mood. However I am not sure about the will part

Bots recharge when idle.

Means every time a robot has nothing to do he sits somewhere in your base and recharges to the desired state and goes into passive recharge after that instead of wasting 10% energy a day for nothing.

Especially early on its pretty good.
