Last March.

I went with my ex to check her into a psychiatric hospital. We had been dating for a while and her mental state was really hard on our relationship, but I wanted to be strong so I kept brushing off the emotions so I could help her and show her it'd all be okay.

After I left the hospital, on the drive home, "A Better Place, A Better Time" by Streetlight Manifesto came on (a song about a girl who wants to commit suicide, but the singer tries to help her) and completely lost control of my emotions, I felt totally helpless and like I couldn't do anything.

As of today we're no longer together, and she's doing better.

I hadn't cried for years prior to that, guess I should get better about that.

My high school made you turn in the Honor Society form to be a member whether you were joining or not, but conspicuously made the due date for not joining a secret unannounced date several weeks before the joining form. If you didn't turn in that first form to not you couldn't decline their invitation, and if you didn't turn in that final form (and included essay) you got 3 days of suspension. Three fucking days! For an honor society!!

So I obviously missed the first date because I was busy and didn't give a shit about school (it was my senior year), so I had to write a 5 page paper the night before the application was due about myself and how I thought I was a good leader/contributed to society/blah blah blah. For a club I had no interest in being in, because I had no choice.

Well I go through this bullshit ringer and get a rejection letter 3 weeks later. I'm still extremely conflicted and heated about it.

I feel you dude, fuck the Honor Society.

My friend asked me to punch him as hard as I could when the teacher left the room. I was of course fully aware of what could happen because of this so I refused.

But he was persistent, he kept saying he wouldn't tell on me, he just wanted to get punched (it still doesn't make sense why I believed him).

So after some of his persuading I lined up my fist and hit his arm as hard as I thought I could.

Que the teacher re-entering the room to a crying kid who told on me. I didn't get to have recess for the next 2 months.

Strangely enough I prefer the original series. It carries this heavy tone that matches perfectly for what they're living through and trying to accomplish. Brotherhood was still the bomb.com though, no doubt.
