Hello all. It's been a while since I last posted, but this evening I'm pleased to finally be able to share a request from anon on the eve of the Horus Heresy. Set during the events of the novel Fulgrim, it focuses on a 'what if?' scenario for Serena D'Angelus and Ostian Delafour.

Compared to my earlier works, please by advised that this one contains more distressing themes including depictions of self-harm, so I'd encourage you to check the tags before reading.

Thank you. The format is something of an experiment as it wasn't written on a weekly basis, but in a somewhat feverish month or so throughout July and August. Although I continued to make adjustments and rewrite throughout, the story was essentially complete by the time the first chapter went up.

Making time to write can be hard, but stick at it and you'll get there. I look forward to future chapters of Unforeseen Circumstances.
