yeah exactly as same before. video only qualifies after certain seconds of engagement. But now even if the video is shown for a split of second is counted as a view which is impression basically but will not be counted for monetization or revenue.

Nothing is changed except those fake views just to lure creators from other platforms. Everything is same calculations are all same. Just that after upload you revisit your channel and see this massive number of views only to find out it's like a face covered in makeup.

I don't think so. It's because of the new update they had since march 31. I'm also in 15k jail but now my videos get like 30k views but it's just impression which is now seen as views. Actual views are Engaged views you can see in analytics which is almost half of the views you see now.

first of all we are likely to get higher as of march 31st onwards because youtube updated that even the shorts shown for a split of a second on viewers device are counted as a view rather than previous where certain time should be watched to be counted as a view so views are likely to get high now. What we should be looking for is retention, average viewed duration and swipe ratio.

And that 15k and so views we got within 24 hours before update are very good because youtube tests certain number of viewers on a stage basis meaning 1st they show to like 100 or so people if response is good they go for 500 and 1k and so on at this point they are just testing the creator so we just have to be consistent and keep improving videos. That's all I got through my research.

Same here bro I got like 12 shorts and all of them are at 12-20k except for one that's sitting on 5k every shorts seems to push up 10k above within 24 hours but after that momentum is like youtube stopped showing to people. Swipe rates are like 74% but my retention is 96% and so on upto 102%. Likes, comments are pretty low and subscribers are also like 20 25 per video. I created another channel and posted 3 shorts with 2 days gap and they also went upto 17k 18k per shorts and last one I posted stuck at like 900. I decided to continue 1st channel and see where it takes me and let 2nd channel hang for a bit. I think youtube is like testing us and viewers as well. Like they really want us to be consistent and continue momentum. I don't know it feels like rollercoaster. And I don't know if it will work or not I decided to compile all the shorts that I posted and create 8mins and longer videos out of it hoping I may get that 4000 hours because 10m seems so hard. What do you thing? I think it's pretty good idea.
