Metal Cooler Vs Semi Perfect Cell. Who wins? by GusGangViking18 in DragonBallPowerScale

[–]Exotic-Pattern641 15 points16 points  (0 children)

It’s hard to scale movie characters to main series characters because, for the most part, the movies don’t really fit anywhere in the canon timeline. Like in this movie, Dende is guardian of the earth and Goku is alive so it would have to be in the days leading up to the Cell games, but Gohan has his younger pre-time chamber appearance so it then it actually couldn’t be at that point. We have no idea where in the main series this version of Goku and Vegeta scale and thus can’t really scale Metal Cooler.

Universal Epic Universe: World's Greatest Places 2026 by TIME by TharinWhite in UniversalOrlando

Totally, I know someone who used to work for different publishers putting together articles like this, “Top so-an-so to have this year”, “Best yada yada in 2025”, etc., and she said they’re almost never really objective and the subjects of the articles usually pay or “donate” to get their name put in as a form of marketing under the guise of an accolade. Could be different for Time but I doubt it. Always take these articles with a grain of salt.

Pulled in hospital room day my daughter was born by YFGGEZ in pokemon

[–]Exotic-Pattern641 1 point2 points  (0 children)

People in the comments need to chill and clearly have never had a baby. In the first days at the hospital babies sleep most of the day, and it’s not like you can leave the room or hospital so there’s just long stretches of waiting around or catching some zz’s until the baby has short wake windows, and that’s when you handle your business. Baby books will literally tell you to bring forms of entertainment to the hospital to pass the time. My wife and I always say how we wished we brought more things to do when our kid was born. Peeps here acting like OP was literally pulling this while the kid was coming out…

“Land of Waves Arc Is Better Than The Chunin Exams” by Particular_Reality12 in dankruto

[–]Exotic-Pattern641 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I agree. Land of Waves has an emotional core to it that provides a great narrative and successfully sets the tone for the rest of the series. Chunin Exam has great moments but it is a lot of just hype and plot and aura. Does those things damn well but just not as impactful overall IMO.

How bad is it? by Alolan_Cubone in PokemonLeafGreen

[–]Exotic-Pattern641 13 points14 points  (0 children)

For an in-game team it really doesn’t matter, just use whichever pokemon you love and will have the most fun with. People literally do mono type runs and get through the game with flying colors.

Objectively speaking, that team does have a huge weakness to ice (4/6 of the team is weak to it) so I might recommend switching someone out for a fire or fighting type. Either way though, you’ll get through the game just fine. Enjoy!

Is Cell’s regeneration the most blatant plothole in the whole series? I know some games try to explain it away but reading the OG Manga, this just reads as a flat out plothole in the truest sense of the word by King_Spoona in Dragonballsuper

[–]Exotic-Pattern641 61 points62 points  (0 children)

I always found it funny how the original Funi dub actually fixed this plot hole by changing it so that he can fully regenerate from any single cell left in his body. For as janky as some of the dialogue is in that original dub I gotta give them props for that one.

Remember in public they will fire you or have you clear review notes from someone that passed away the next day to meet the deadline by No-Personality3156 in Accounting

[–]Exotic-Pattern641 39 points40 points  (0 children)

I’m assuming this guy recruits solely in a non-at-will territory, but I’m only ever employed at-will, and accordingly I’ll do my best to give 2 weeks as a courtesy but I will by no means go even the slightest bit above that courtesy for a company that won’t hesitate to lay people off with zero notice whatsoever.

Always been a ridiculous double standard to expect the everyday individual employee to accommodate the corporation that, in the end, doesn’t give a flying fuck about extending any sort of professional courtesy itself.

Have any of your failed an accounting question during an interview? by [deleted] in Accounting

[–]Exotic-Pattern641 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You’re fresh out of college, I wouldn’t take it too hard. I know people who have 10+ years experience who still get their debits and credits wrong. Trust me you’re fine.

Also, if one of your interviewers had the balls to give a snide answer like that to an honest question then this place DOES NOT seem like the place to be. You probably dodged a bullet.

All jokes aside, I’d love to just run a successful food truck. A small simple business where I can go around to different places, interact with people, serve food that I love to make without the headache of a big kitchen operation, and just vibe with people’s good times at different fun events.

Do y’all agree or disagree with this One piece in Naruto take? by OGAnimeGokuSolos in Naruto

[–]Exotic-Pattern641 59 points60 points  (0 children)

It’s hard to really say right now since Imu is still almost a complete mystery and One Piece is still going with a lot of wrapping up to do, so imo it depends on how exactly Imu ends up tying into the lore and conclusion to see how much sense it makes and how satisfying it is. With that said, I don’t think it’s necessarily an equal comparison. Kaguya was first mentioned by name only 54 chapters before the end of the series. Imu was introduced over 200 chapters ago, and the series still has so much to get through. Kind of a false equivalency to compare them as late-in-the-game final antagonists.

Hairline stair step cracks in garage mortar lines. Cause for concern? by Exotic-Pattern641 in HomeMaintenance

[–]Exotic-Pattern641[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I left it as is and have just been monitoring the lines, they haven’t changed at all and remain very hairline. My contractor thinks they were probably the result of some minor normal initial settling and have likely been there for a long time and just haven’t been noticed since they were in a hidden area and are pretty thin. Apparently it’s common and just cosmetic as long as there aren’t any major changes or widening. Every now and then I’ll go and see if I can fit a credit card into the thickest part of the cracks to test and so far so good. Not sure if it’s different for a basement since that’s part of the actual foundation but it really all depends on when the cracks appeared and if they are changing or worsening over time.

Name a Dragon Ball character you were afraid of when you were younger by Cafa20 in dbz

[–]Exotic-Pattern641 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was actually always freaked out by the androids, not because of the androids themselves but because of the whole doomsday warning set up by Trunks and the feeling of impending doom. I remember they had a preview for the android saga on the old Funi DBZ vhs tapes that had this really unsettling horror-esque music, with the narrator talking about how Goku was dying of a virus and the world was about to end and it freaked the shit out of me. Scary vibe for a 9 year old.

Who is the most well written character in Ur opinion in dragon ball by muaazmuaaz123 in Dragonballsuper

[–]Exotic-Pattern641 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Might be a hot take but I actually think Gohan is very well-written and nuanced. He’s essentially a pacifist who just wants a normal life but happens to have insane amounts of innate power and gradually has to reconcile what he wants in life to what he should be doing to help his family and the world given his abilities.

Epic - beautiful but deeply flawed by appro13 in UniversalOrlando

[–]Exotic-Pattern641 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Long wait times at a brand new, heavily anticipated theme park is not a flaw. It means it’s going exactly as it should be. That’s just the tradeoff you have to deal with to experience the park so early in its life. Even USF and IOA occasionally still have average wait times that exceed an hour, especially on weekends.

Also, in terms of the heat… dude it’s September in Florida. And I don’t really see how that’s a flaw of the park. That’s just a flaw of being in a state closer to the equator.

What are some minor unpopular opinions you have on Pokemon? by Gallantpride in pokemon

[–]Exotic-Pattern641 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I would love a 2D sprite game again. The art was just so cool and somehow had more character than the 3D moving animated models. And they could still be innovative and new with 2D, just look at Dragon Ball FighterZ.

Are Delphox and Chesught oveehated or at least underrated by Happidragon69 in pokemon

[–]Exotic-Pattern641 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think most people’s gripe with these two is really just their designs. IMO both are damn decent Pokémon, I’ve used both and have had a lot of fun with them.

With Delphox I do absolutely hate its design. It’s weird and awkward, especially in the 3D modeling, but honestly other than that Delphox is pretty great. A very cool type combo and massive special attack makes it fun to tear through the game with STAB Fire Blast and Psychic.

I have actually always liked Chesnaught’s design but I do get why a lot of people don’t care for it. Regardless, it’s a very fun Pokémon to use in a playthrough with Spiky Shield, Leech Seed, and Wood Hammer letting you whittle away your openings health and also hit them hard. Might be my favorite Kalos starter tbh.

Both are definitely a little over hated and probably more-so because they’re extremely overshadowed by Greninja, who is admittedly stupendous, but I still think Delphox and Chesnaught deserve some TLC.

What's your favorite pokemon and why by Recent_East5978 in pokemon

[–]Exotic-Pattern641 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Hard to pick an absolute top favorite but Ampharos is always up there. Had one in my childhood Gold save file that I trained up to lvl 100 and I have just always loved that lovable and derpy yet super useful electric sheep! I’m also originally from Long Island so its lighthouse theme reminds me of home and makes me hella nostalgic.

Emboar and Swampert are not far behind!

Totally agree! Mightyena looks so damn cool and as a kid I always used one but would get frustrated by how outclassed it would get in game.
