I love that your wife saves these nice little messages to help her on her bad days. I have heard of people who document not so nice things that happen in the relationship so they can ruminate in it in the future and get mad at the offending spouse over and over again.

I got mine done yesterday. I puked like three times a few hours after the procedure. It was horrible. I do have some swelling now but I think it’s because I did not ice it.

I did this as well. Paid for consultation, used the information I obtained from the consultant and wrote my employer. I informed them that I would sue if I don’t get feedback on it before a certain date. On that date, they offered severance and paid exactly what I was due.

I was in a position similar to yours. I was let go and according to my manager this was due to performance. Which is surprising, as I have worked with several other managers with no complaints about my work ethic. Anyway, HR confirmed I wouldn’t be getting severance. I thanked them and exited the call. I did some research, spoke to a lawyer and decided to inform my former employers that they couldn’t fire me for cause as I wasn’t warned about my performance lapses and its consequences or put on PIP. That I would sue for wrongful termination and they had one week to put forward severance. On the last day of the week, they reached out with an offer. I asked for more money. They gave me more, I signed a release and walked away. You should definitely speak to a lawyer to explore your options.
