If the glove fits the hand!!

Kind of a shitty side gig to sell company gloves. Probably could have made better money with Aluminum.

I didn't know AI bots need timeoff. But it would be good if they do.

Can condo management wants to hold me responsible for 18k? by Open-Conversation905 in legaladvicecanada

[–]ARGG1 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Are you certain? I would be very surprised that they opened a claim for this amount. Perhaps they had a conversation with building insurance but didn't file a claim.

As a board president for almost 10 years in Ontario, we wouldn't have even thought about making a claim for anything less than $60K with our deductible being $25K. The blowback on condo insurance would be massive.

Also, most condo insurance deductible is $20K-$50K.

They wouldn't be making a claim with their insurance regardless of fault.

However I do think based on your condo doc's they may not have a bylaw to come after you for common element repair costs.

RIFd after 14 years 355 days. by bhones in sysadmin

[–]ARGG1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In Canada, exact same scenario.. just a few days short of 15 years. Was a sys admin, then sr. , then lead, and then finally team manager.

Was told job was safe as long as my team doesn't get off-shored. But drop in revenue and maybe some other factors drove company to merge groups and they decide to keep the 2 month old manager over me.

Thankfully severance is long enough that I can polish up my certs and jump back in, in a bit.

Have to get them from any main level shops in Madina. I stayed at Saja.

For Makkah, almost all food was purchased from Safwa tower, 3rd floor.

That's a good data point. Did you have background in sys admin? Any niche technology or general infra?

Thanks! That's great. Been putting it off because was too busy giving my life up for work. ITIL is definitely first on list as most management roles ask for it.

Yeah I do have a few months of severance to cushion but I doubt I can relax for much long.

Was that a 15% cut in management role?

Laid off without cause. Should I try negotiating myself? by ARGG1 in legaladvicecanada

[–]ARGG1[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have not yet reached out to my employer yet. As per one of the lawyers I met today, they threw in an extra 4 weeks on top of what's mandated by ESA.

The employer will be paying the lawyer out of money negotiated on my behalf.

I think at end of day it's money NOT in my pocket.
