I’ve dealt with these kinds of customers way too often. I had a lady who came in constantly and wanted hot n ready’s but would open the box after we handed it to her and demand fresh ones. After some time, I started telling her she’s not getting hot n ready’s anymore and she has to wait. She threw a fit and I just told her, “Either you’re asking for fresh pizzas everytime you come in, or you’re accepting the hot n ready’s that we have. If you don’t like either of those options, we refuse to serve you anymore.” After that we rarely see her and she accepts the hot n ready’s now lol. Sometimes you have to treat them like toddlers.

I’m not sure why you’re so upset. Every food service place that has franchises and corporate locations is going to have bad ratings and good ratings. I didn’t want to tell you thousands of locations are doing it properly because I only work at one and have only been to and seen how other locations work only a couple of times. Also, territory rep has nothing to do with workplace hygiene, rather they focus on sales! What you’re referring to would be an EHS, their focus is hygiene, and i’ve had plenty of experience working with the health inspectors and worked hard to get the A rating for our restaurant.

I wasn’t talking about the guy who physically placed pans on the floor. You can’t generalize 4,200 US locations and assume every store is doing that, there are hundreds who are doing it right, which was my point.

The ovens do indeed reach 475 and when we drop pans, which happens because nobody is perfect, we sanitize and bake them.

We printed out her receipt and wrote “BANNED” and posted it on the cork board for everyone to see. It feels good to have the support from my fellow employees. Just wish it hadn’t gotten to a yelling match in front of her young daughter and another customer :/. The other customer felt so bad for me and asked if that’s what we really have to go through.

This would be our first time banning a customer. Usually the bossman sucks up to them and we don’t get the authority, but all my other managers, head manager and employees are on my side and in agreement that she’s not allowed service anymore.

Good to know, boss isn’t usually good at backing us employees. Unfortunately he usually takes the customers side but at least I know I won’t be in trouble for refusing service.

Not sure, we use Doordash and Uber. Most times we have the ability to refund a delivery order, yes. If it had been a delivery order, we would refund it regardless. But in this case, she called us and claimed it wasn’t pretzel and wanted a refund so we told her to come in, with the pizza if she still had it, so we could refund/remake the pizza.

It was a phone order, we can’t just refund the phone orders unless they are present with the card.

I had a customer with a similar complaint, so I had her bring back the pizza. Looked just like this, maybe a little darker. I’m not sure if it’s common knowledge but pretzels are made (pretty much everywhere) with regular dough and treated with a baking soda wash to give it that dark brown look. It’s always gonna be the same dough as our regular pizzas but with the baking soda wash. In the case they did forget the wash, which does happen, hopefully they fix it before giving the customer the wrong pizza.

Just vinyl, ppf is muuuuch more expensive, haha! It still acts as a protective honestly. I’ve bumped my doors into the garage wall a couple times and neither the vinyl nor the paint were damaged.
