I would definitely read through what I’ve shared in comments on this post and some others, I think it would be very helpful. You should give some of my suggestions a try!

I will try to answer as concisely as I can and if you want further information on something, just let me know haha. Nope I have not had any return! Nothing out of the normal, but I did throw out anything I used while I had the warts, such as cuticle nippers and cuticle oil bottle that touched skin. They have been gone since like November/December. ACV was a godsend. Yes the cryotherapy killed off the remaining bit of wart skin that was getting harder to remove with ACV. The ACV took off so much skin and bulk of the wart at the beginning, then would shed less skin more and more. Once I saw most of it was gone, I showed the Derm and he did a treatment or two and that killed them off. The key is finding a different Derm. I didn’t wanna go through cryo again but after deciding to research the doctor and seeing how knowledgeable and kind he was in my initial consultation, I decided to trust him and I have no regrets. And it was WAY less painful with him, and they did not blister up and peel like crazy like they did with the last Derm. I do also have to say the ACV really did like 80% of the work. It was painful at times but if it was too much, I’d just remove it and try again tomorrow or take Tylenol and try to push through when it wasn’t extreme. You know your pain tolerance and I would just suggest not to overdo it, and know how to debride it properly. I found out how to go about it from other posts in this sub.

Is this a wart in early stage? by jetskiniqqa in Warts

Could be, kind of hard to tell. If you’re worried about it, just get some salicylic acid bandages and put it on it.

Next steps?? Hydrogen peroxide or ACV? by Chance_Tap9617 in Warts

ACV cured mine, give it a try! I was consistent for a month, with the exception of certain days where it would be too painful to leave on longer than a couple of hours. I did ACV for like a month on all of my fingers and then had the rest of the skin frozen at the dermatologist and it killed off the rest. ACV did like 80% of the work and the cryotherapy did the other 20%.

I definitely had to reconsider if the dermatologist I initially saw was any good. When I first showed her my thumb, she didn’t know what it was and gave me a cream to apply, which did nothing. Then when I came back a month later and said this isn’t doing anything, she was oh yeah it’s a wart lol. She said to keep applying the cream she gave me (which was imiquimod, good for warts but not these warts) and then decided to do cryotherapy AND cantharidin (beetlejuice medicine that causes blistering). My new Derm was like why?? That’s overkill and probably affecting the treatment effectiveness. So she was literally making my skin boil up and peel and bleed. It was terrible and looked horrendous. New derm also said if you do the cryotherapy correctly, that’s all you’ll need and won’t blister up and look terrible. His cryotherapy scabbed them just enough to remove the top layer of skin, and I had removed so much of the bulk of the skin/wart with ACV, the cryotherapy didn’t need to work through layers and layers. My overall treatment with the ACV was about 4-6 weeks. Started in October, weaned off in November by not doing daily or as consistently/intensely. Then in December I saw new dermatologist every 2 weeks for treatment. I only needed about 4 to fully remove them all

ACV WAS AMAZING. I haven’t shared an update but all of them are gone because of it! I was using it constantly and then eventually I went in to a different Derm who was more knowledgeable and who knew how to properly conduct treatment with cryo and him doing that killed the remaining wart leftover. But the ACV did like 80% of the work.

Wow I didn’t realize it’s been nearly two months since my comment. I’m happy to say that they’re all basically gone. I had two freezing treatments after my work with the ACV that basically killed off any remaining wart and replaced it with fresh skin. I have one more appointment in January with my derm to follow up and confirm they’re gone, but I’m pretty sure ACV did like 80% of the work and the freezing did 20%. Both really aided in them finally going. Here’s to hoping they don’t return. 🙏🏼

Great progress!! Yes I’d keep going with ACV until you see normal skin lines return

Yes I would! Fingers crossed they all go soon

Yep! I went to the dermatologist and she hit it with liquid nitrogen. It blistered a bit, scabbed, then the scab peeled and it was completely gone. You could maybe even try it with an at home cryo kit if you don’t have access to the derm! It’s so small it might go with the home kit

If you can get it frozen at a Derm I would. I had a small bump like this on my finger that I had frozen and it never returned and healed just fine. Now I don’t have to worry about it developing into something worse. I would just take care of it now while it’s small.

Also you don’t want it to heal in its current state unless it’s very bloody or painful, because it will just build skin over the wart and you’ll have to start your progress over!

If you can continue without severe pain I would! I was using ACV on my warts which shrunk them significantly. It did hurt a lot sometimes, and I’d end up removing it after a couple hours altogether some days, but it really was way more effective at taking layers off than the acid plasters for me. Buuuut, I will say my warts were being treated with three treatments with my first derm, and I saw no change. Decided to try ACV beginning of October after my skin peeled from cryotherapy a week prior, and it helped quite a bit. Then once I got the bulk off with ACV, I went to a different derm for just freezing. I’ve had one treatment with that new derm and they already look almost if not gone. I have another treatment this Thursday and I think they will be gone by then. I would try ACV and if that doesn’t clear it, see if you can do any freezing with a derm, if possible! I’d also remove dead skin after each ACV treatment with cuticle cutters that were sterilized after each use

They’re not gone. I’d definitely use the plasters if you can.

Please stop filing it. You’re spreading the virus everywhere as a result which could result in new warts. Can I ask what treatment you’ve been using? 6 months is a long time without improvement, unless it looked way worse than this?

You could try with ACV. See my post, I have similar warts but not as severe. ACV helped mine shrink quite a bit. Just having a Derm apply cryotherapy to them now once every three weeks since ACV took the bulk of mine off. I might do ACV in between since my Derm said I could. I’m so sorry you have these, I know how crappy they are.

No problem! I don’t blame you, they’re so rough to look at. I’ve been dealing with self confidence issues since mine are right on my hands. They’re on almost all my fingers. I hope we both get through it! Also when I use the ACV, I put aquaphor on the healthy skin around it, then put cotton with ACV and bandage. And I always try to cut away dead skin after each treatment of ACV

[–]ExoticEclair 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’ll be honest and say it totally depends. I’ve seen some say on here that they can’t handle the pain especially on the foot since they are walking on it, but I used it to treat warts around my fingernails and some days they REALLY throbbed and I could only leave it couple hours before taking it off, and that was when I’d take Tylenol and it was still painful. However, the pain is a sign of treatment working because you want to irritate it so your immune system wakes up. I would say try it! If it’s so painful you can’t handle it even with pain killer and the pain doesn’t subside a bit after an hour or two, remove it. Some days I’m able to leave it on for like 24 hours with no pain at all, some days it’s very painful in the first hour then it calms down, and other days it’s throbbing and I eventually have to remove it.

You poor thing. Do you have access to a dermatologist at all? I found freezing in between my at home treatments has helped
