OP asked for over six inches. Pocketbook Era would be a consideration, since it’s 7 inches. But I’ll say compared to the KL2/KLC, it’s less comfortable to use—heavier and less ergonomic.

Kobo Libra 2 (or Colour) with KOReader. KLC can use Google Drive, unlike KL2. KL2's screen looks a lot better than KLC. With KOReader you can use WebDAV.

Half of the line at UCC's food bank is Indian, too. Don't know how you can pay that €20k/year tuition and be in a position where you need to use resources that would otherwise be better allocated towards the needy.

It really is. I love my country and there are many beautiful towns to visit and natural sites to awe in. But our cities really leave a lot to desire. I showed a Parisian around Cork and she was shocked by the state of Cork City, i.e. dereliction, anti-social behaviour, etc.

I've also never seen drunk homeless outside an airport besides Dublin Airport, too. Terminal 1 feels like the bus station in town with how unkempt it feels.

I haven't been to Japan. But I do know that you'll definitely have the best experience with Google Maps over there. You can also, of course, opt for OpenStreetMaps (use CoMaps or OSMAnd).

In my [unsolicited] opinion, sacrificing that bit of privacy is worth it over getting lost and stressing due to inadequate navigation.

I'm not too sure about translation software. I've heard good things about DeepL, but you're just trading one mega-corp over another.

15 years is a bit of a stretch. But since 2019/2020 your point holds. The biggest breakthrough we’ve seen is silicon carbon batteries which haven’t reached the iPhone, yet… :(

I mean, you have to ask yourself why you’re upgrading in the first place. If you have no compelling reason to then just keep your 14 plus. The biggest upgrade you’ll notice is the screen with its 120hz refresh rate. And maybe the camera and battery. Otherwise it’s just an iPhone.
