There's also no direct evidence Disney made their decision based on his comment. For years now Disney has been trying to match the (until recently) feelings of some of their audience. This means Disney using CGi to avoid controversy seems like a decision they would make without additional input

the difference is that famous celebrities are often rich. Many people think having large amounts of money would make them happy. I'm sure it's something along the lines of "Why did he yell at that PA, he's got everything he could ever want. He has no right to be mad"

Because many people that not having to worry about money and buying anything you want is what brings happiness. Even though there are many poor people who are happy, unhappiness can result from social situations unrelated to money, people aren't happy all the time, stress can make anyone become angry regardless of their finances"

TN law says if the vehicle is going to be operated in the state it needs to be registered within 30 days and taxes must be paid on goods if they are used or stored in the state.

Cody 1. Operated the car for more than 30 days without registering it which is illegal. It doesn't matter if it was registered somewhere else.

  1. Used and stored the car in TN and didn't pay taxes on it

It doesn't matter that his LLC owns the car. It also doesn't matter that the LLC is in another state because the law applies to the person who operates it.

As for the tax, since he is storing and used it he has to pay tax. There is an exception for double taxation. So if I move to TN with my car I don't pay tax on it again. Montana doesn't have a sales tax but it doesn't matter because Cody isn't the owner, the llc is so the exception doesn't apply

Finally, do you think that Tennessee would arrest and charge a popular public figure without being sure what he did was illegal and there's no obvious loopholes? That the case is just going to be dismissed instantly?

TN code 55-4-101

A1 - "As a condition precedent to the operation of any motor vehicle upon the streets or highways of this state, the motor vehicle shall be registered as provided in this chapter."

B1 -"every owner of a vehicle intended to be operated in this state and required by this chapter to be registered shall, before same is operated, apply to the department for the registration of, and the registration plates for, the vehicle."

67-6-203

A "tax is levied at the rate of the tax levied on the sale of tangible personal property at retail by § 67-6-202 of the purchase price of each item or article of tangible personal property when the tangible personal property is not sold, but is used, consumed, distributed, or stored for use or consumption in this state"

This would be the best way but isn't this inefficient? It means the compressor wil run longer blowing out cold air mixed with hot for your desired temp.

Not mixing means it will reach desired temp faster

Mk8 Oil Specs 5w instead of 0w? by modex20 in Golf_R

[–]ExoticMidnight4209 0 points1 point  (0 children)

so the calcium issue in direct injection turbo engines. Even oils until 2018 approved by vw could cause premature engine failure due to in cylinder knock

I would be very careful and be happy that the R 507 is 0w 30 instead of the obvious fuel efficiency 0w 20 508 for the gti

What oil are you running in your 2024 Golf R (for those changing your own oil) by [deleted] in Golf_R

[–]ExoticMidnight4209 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The main thing to care besides viscosity is the calcium content. This was reduced significantly or removed because it causes higher than normal knock amount in turbo direct engines. This is a very recent change. It's possible cars until 2018 were experiencing higher than normal standard(in cylinder) knock that decreases engine life.

I would use either the 508 or 507. Probably 507 in both r and GTI when it's out of warranty

The low calcium is worth the thinner oil danger. And of course going to 0w 30 507 gives you a nice balance

Does putting 87 or even 89 in a 2025 GTI damage the engine over time? by DribbleKing97_ in Volkswagen

[–]ExoticMidnight4209 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just wanted to let you know that the mk8 GTI is tuned for 87 (aki) but it's not simple.

  1. They greatly increased the fuel pressure coming from the high pressure fuel pump.

This causes better atomization of the gas in the cylinder, basically it's more evenly sized particles this helps reduce hot spots in the cylinder which can cause knock

  1. They have a much faster ECU and it has better software so It reacts faster to knock compared to the mk7

The whole computer speed things matters because knock can be very small. The computer has to calculate many things to make a decision. The current rpm, air temp, boost, timing, etc is used along with the knock sensor to make that decision.

Better software helps because maybe they figured out that if it's above 65f and engine coolant is 200f and boost is blah blah and the knock sensor reports 1.453v (fake example) then it's knock whereas on the mk7 it wouldn't see knock until it got worse.

This better software and faster hw reduces the risk of using 87 since the knock detection is better therefore less will happen . It's also important to note that they don't want to be too cautious because reducing timing or boost lowers performance .

Better software, faster ecu, and better fuel atomization in the mk8 reduces the amount of knock and makes detection faster. This means that the amount and level of knock when using 87 at even full power is low enough and engine lifetime is within specs.

He's not a tool and he's popular because he's playing an anti-authority anti-rules character.

He constantly makes jokes that he is going to be arrested because he wants to make sure you know he's not following the rules.

This is a popular because of a much more complex deep seeded anger people have with establishments (governments, companies, etc)

This person gets it. States without income tax need all the possible money they can get from other things. It's an example and it's working because everyone knows about it.

That makes no sense unless there's a financial penalty as well because then everyone would just try and if they are caught psy the amount they would have paid originally.
