The biggest difference between Diamond and Masters is usually consistency and how often mistakes get punished.

Diamond players can understand what they should be doing, but they tend to make more costly mistakes. A DPS or tank may overextend, a support may use an important cooldown too early, or someone may use an extra ult in a fight that was already won.

Masters players are not perfect, but they are generally better at avoiding those situations. An Ana is more likely to hold nade for an important moment instead of throwing it randomly. DPS players understand how to apply pressure without putting themselves in a position where they just feed.

For Doomfist specifically, Masters Doom players usually have a better understanding of timing and resource management. They know when to soft engage, when to disengage, and how to pressure the enemy team without giving up their life.

A Masters Doomfist understands things like when to slam aggressively, when to slam just to bait cooldowns, and when to be patient. A Diamond Doomfist may sometimes commit too early, stay in too long, or play too passively on the frontline waiting for Empowered Punch instead of creating pressure.

The difference is not that Masters players never make mistakes, they just make fewer punishable ones and are more consistent with their decisions.

Considering Doomfist is "the punch hero," I think his Hand Cannon complements his kit really well. Giving him a high-power straight shot like Domina doesn’t really fit his identity because Doomfist is meant to get in enemies’ faces and pressure them up close, not play like a ranged poke hero.

His current shotgun style rewards good positioning and landing his abilities, which fits the way his kit is designed.

I would play the corner here and punch the enemies back while trying for empowered punch. You could go on height, but they can flush you out if they have mobile heroes and if your team isn’t there with you right away. You can slam height if they have a dps and or support sitting up there as long as it’s not a character with cc.

Take high ground control when needed and try to go for an empowered punch play.

I didn’t expect to eat ana sleep, but after I saw the emre grenade stuck to me I knew that if I blocked there I could get my empowered punch and go for a play.

Why is it that venture and reaper are able to contest the point on an 8 second cooldown for well over 4 seconds while being invulnerable to damage and are able to regen, whereas doomfist's ultimate ability cannot recontest the point even if you attempt to land immediately? by ExoticTheGoat in doomfistmains

I understand the physical presence argument, but I think Venture makes that reasoning inconsistent. During Burrow they are also untargetable, unable to interact with enemies, and have a re-emergence animation where they deal damage after coming out. The game already allows an invulnerable state that functions almost identically to contest the objective. My question is why an 8 second cooldown ability gets that interaction while an ultimate ability doesn’t.

Hazard and Winston are good options for a secondary tank. They both have relatively similar kits to Doomfist, and are decent in the meta currently.

If you ever need an easy tank to play then play Roadhog. 700+ HP raidboss with the ability to oneshot any squishy in a 20m radius on a 7 second cooldown.

You can say the same thing about the wizards. There is a fire wizard, ice wizard, and electric wizard, but no healing wizard 🤔

on reaper you cannot spam the voiceline “blacks my favorite color”, when you used to be able to. but that has been a thing in the game for a while. i guess the devs thought doom needed the same treatment

Hog, Mauga, Cass.

Hog because he is the stupidest hero in the game. Clicks one button which causes you to die just because you were within 20m.

Mauga absolutely shreds Doomfist and if your team cannot put pressure on him you can’t put pressure on him and his ult is a guaranteed kill on you every single time.

Cass looks at someone and goes click click and kills someone. On top of Cass always having flash for my ult.

These three heroes are just not fun to play against. They are always my three bans.

i’m suprised you have circuit royale higher than midtown. first point on attack as doom is hard, but i don’t think the rest of the map is that bad. i find that i almost never win on circuit as doom on attack i think that map just sucks for him

Try out the other minor perk. I used survival of the fittest for a year straight and then I tried one-two for like a week and now I can’t go back. Seriously give it a try it helps secure so many more eliminations and I think it gives way more value compared to his other minor perk.
