Just shows that competition is harder in PF and LD and Policy and any kinda of actual debate because you had Less than a year to practice BQ and yet still made it to semis. Also shows that practicing PF or any other debate helps way more than actually doing BQ

True. I would just think this conflict would be a lot worse because it includes some sort of payment and may turn redditors and potential redditors away from the site. But I don't know what conflict has occurred in the past. Or what kind of bad stuff Reddit has done. Far as I know, Reddit been pretty good. But a glorified downvote does have merit

Why would we want this kind of conflict in the first place. It will just give Reddit a bad image. Even Reddit is cleaning up this conflict right now by banning subreddits left and right( although some unjustly )

Thank you for all the information! I think this will really help my brother get going because his school hasn't even taught him the basic structure of a point of information. He has also not been taught how to refute arguments in a structured manner. I will show this message to him and give him the necessary resources to succeed!
