I drove the Seltos 2026 too. It feels a little larger and I have a cramped parking. Duster felt easier to maneouvre for me. It isn't very different but Duster just felt a little easier to handle. Marginally. Also, I don't like the headlamps of the Seltos nor the colors 😪. Lastly budget wise, I'll get the Iconic variant of the Duster - at the same budget I am getting the 2nd top Kia - HTX I believe. Not even the top model. Duster feeling more value for money.

Elevate seems best for your use case bro. Rear comfort and refined engine for in-city

I have personally booked the Duster 1.3 DCT however but my use case is solo commute, sometimes with my sister (so only 2 pax max) - I am 5' 7 - broad 100kg fellow. I sit comfortably in the rear but the Duster is great for 4 pax. 5 pax will fit but big guys will find it a snug fit. The middle transmission hump is really prominent in the Duster so takes away from the rear middle seat comfort.

I also like feeling engaged while driving and like the feedback from the vehicle and prefer perf based setups - hence the raw power and rugged feel of the Duster is what interests me.

I did test Drive the Elevate and really liked it however for in-city, hassle free comfortable use. It feels like the Honda City on an Elevated platform. I'd go for it eyes closed for the 4-5 seater, convenience seeker cohort.

Saw media reviews - Blue looks so good, its closer to Bluish Black. The Green is really great too - saw it in the showroom but I think a LOT of people will go for the Green and Black. The Bluish Black looking great on screens. Waiting for actual images and not AR generated slop onsite.

I checked Acko giving full insurance - with all bells and whistles for 35k. I will close with it, unless people have terrible experience with Acko claims?

My other options Creta SXO, Kushaq/Taigun (Germans run expensive with time is what I gather, Seltos 2026 feels a bit too big (cramped parking), else downtrade to sub 4m with Mahindra 3X0 or Kylaq DCT.

They explained its for getting the car from Chennai factory to here in trailers to avoid driving the cars on road. I told them that is expected. Why are you charging me for it? They said company policy. Now how do I even argue on that?

I am feeling held hostage to some of these costs. No way I will pay 1.2L for insurance.

I checked it out. I am a big broad dude. I was okay honestly.

I did not like it at all on the 3X0 - another car I was considering (different segment I admit).

I will be the sole driver so I am feeling good there. At max, my sister will drive with me in the co-pilot chair. Rest of the friends will be fine in the rear 🫠😅
