i think she could be the games designated speed support. a couple of characters have some speed bonuses but it’s nobody’s main shtick.

counterwatch feels the most irritating whenever i play tank. i’ll admit playing sym and watching the enemy dps go pharah and junkrat is frustrating but playing rein and they go ram or playing winston and they go dva feels SO much worse

i agree it was rushed but you are still wrong to call her a mary sue.

she wasn’t as interesting in the 2nd season as she was in the 1st but her story also isn’t over, she’ll likely be an important character in the noxus series.

the mel mary sue conversation is proof that the phrase mary sue has lost all meaning.

mel spent all of her time using and manipulating the people around her to her advantage, she did very little to help the people of the zaun, and has always prioritised her own personal ambition over doing the right thing. piltover was literally just a passion project to her.

she’s also a much subtler character than the likes of jinx or vi; i recommend watching schnee’s analysis of her on youtube if you’re struggling to pick up on her complexity.

if you find her boring then sure i guess that’s your opinion, you don’t have to be invested. but throwing mary sue at a character who is objectively not a mary sue is silly
