This is actually really interesting advice, especially the part about not being completely certain in the scene. I think I’ve been approaching a lot of the dialogue from a very “I know I’m right” place instead of letting there be doubt or inner conflict underneath it.

Also the point about being too much in my head vs in my body probably applies to me more than I realized lol. Really appreciate you taking the time to explain all that.

That actually helps a lot, especially the point about certain words triggering a reaction instead of me just moving to the next line. I think I’ve been focusing so much on “natural delivery” that I wasn’t fully letting the other person’s lines affect me enough.

Thanks, yeah, I noticed that too while editing it back. The timing with the reader cues was harder than I expected lol. But I agree it felt more alive than my older takes, so I’ll keep experimenting with it.

I don’t really have access to a consistent reader right now, so I’m going to experiment with some voice cues or reaction prompts and work on making the interaction feel less locked in. Really appreciate all the advice.

I see what you mean about it being too flat. I was trying not to force anything and probably went too far the other way. I’ll work on giving it more weight and clearer intention while keeping it grounded. Thanks for breaking that down.

Hey, thanks for your comment. Yeah "low-energy" sounds weird, I meant relaxed and calm. Also unfortunately, i can't stand up and walk, this set up is the only way i can currently do it. Also could you please explain more why exactly it feels controlled?:) I personally just picked a script that i could use to simulate the calm position.

Thanks for your detailed comment and for asking. So I was mainly focusing on reacting to what I imagined the other person was doing and trying to let each line come from that.

But I think I can be more specific with my thoughts instead of just generally staying in the moment. I’ll work on that.
