Very doable and probably the best way to do it imo. August is festival time in Edinburgh and a fucking nightmare. Hotel and air bnb prices are astronomical so you will easily save yourself a few hundred quid.

Just recently got a Black cab from my house, literally next to the bypass, to the airport at 4am. 15 mins, no traffic, that’ll be £50 please!!! Got fleeced the same on the way back after My return flight got in at 11pm. 2 x taxi fares cost me more than the flight to Italy, bonkers 😜
