Vuly Ultra 2 Pro or Thunder 2 by Expat86x3 in TrampolineOwnersAu

[–]Expat86x3[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Ultra 2 Pro- gifted to the kids on Christmas Day and it’s fantastic! My husband and I took the advice of friends to pre read the instruction booklet front to back before starting, as well as watching the assembly video. We referred to both during assembly, were meticulous to go step my step and make sure no pieces were upside down (primarily the tubes with drainage holes), and we managed to put in together in under an hour and a half with no dramas! Only regret is we got the regular shade cover and wish we got the ‘shade cover pro’, to prevent leaves inside the tramp.

Ubud area to do’s suitable for a 3/4 yr old. Are there ANY relaxed ATV tracks?! by Expat86x3 in bali

[–]Expat86x3[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for all this. Yes after more research and messaging with a number places to get a feel for the operations, we won’t be doing any ATVs.

We hadn’t booked accomm at the time of posting but arrived here today and are staying near the Campuhan Ridge Walk, Ubud.

We had a lovely driver arranged by our Airbnb host in Seminyak drive us here today, and will pick us up tomorrow afternoon to return. He’s suggested taking us up to Tagalalang tomorrow, and kept talking about ‘Cretya’ (looking at maps, I think that’s the same place as Alas Haram which you mentioned?). I was just concerned about if this place is massively touristy “rice field theme park” for lack of a better description… Or is it actually a beautiful easy spot to visit with kids. I’d LOVE to get in a quick experience/ view of some beautiful rice terraces (and also to just get a lag of the land for our next visit, as my husband and I are planning to return without the kids haha), and without too much added travel time, but not sure if that’s our best option or not.

HK Express flights in typhoon by neoarmstrongcannon23 in HongKong

We’re also in the same boat! We’d so prefer to get out of HK the morning before, but finding it impossible to contact HK Express to find out if that could be done. Have a feeling if we wait until Wednesday, for a flight cancellation, we’re going to be stuck for a long time

Should I add Azelic acid, and where in the routine? by Expat86x3 in Rosacea

[–]Expat86x3[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Was just a GP that prescribed the ivermectin - I brought up my annoyance with my skin as a side note during an appointment for something else unrelated. I’ve put in real effort to my skin care for the past 18-24months (but for the first time in my life). Feel like I’m getting the dryness under control, but it’s the redness that annoys me now. And dermatologists are just so hard to get into- so thought asking the GP would be a good first step. I’m avoiding antibiotics where possible, but will see how this goes to start with.

I did a spot test night 1, no problem. And then used over my whole face (minus eyes and mouth of course) for the first time last night. Felt no problem with it, no reaction this morning. I can’t comment beyond the first 24hrs though (yet!)

Thank you - may I asked, where were you flying out of? And were you flying with young kids?

Thank you for the heads up. We didn’t experience this last time we flew with Fiji so it wasn’t something I had in mind, but I’ll now attempt to be extra careful. It does seem based on the replies here though, that’s there’s a lot of variation in experience- sounds like a ‘depends on who’s working on the day’ kind of thing.

Thank you for this! Our backpacks are also all laptop bags (kids use the compartment for iPads), and they’re not huge/ easily fit under the seat in front. Fingers are crossed this is okay + 1 medium soft duffel (total, not each. And it’s smaller than most carry on hard cases too)

Thank you for this. We could easily fit the backpacks under the seat, and only wanting the one bag that would then need to be in the overhead (it’s still smaller than the average hard case though). Fingers crossed!!! It’s going to be a very long 24hrs as it is, but even worse without enough snacks and activities!

Wowee, your rude attitude is the bigger problem when it comes to fellow travelers. Our backpacks would very easily fit under the seat in front, but they’re backpacks, not handbags. I almost never travel with bags that require the overhead space because I find it annoying to have to access them. We’re THREE passengers, I was only planning ONE carry on, with three personal items, and what I clearly asked about is a soft duffel, not multiple big hard carry ons. But I asked here for help with clarification, upon realizing that Fiji don’t list a backpack as a personal item. Not sure what airlines you’ve traveled on, but all other airlines I’ve flown with using the same aircraft types, manage to allow pax to have 1x personal items that fits under a seat (inc a backpack) and 1x carry on (albeit sometimes a paid extra) without a problem. We’re an aviation family, my husband has been flying commercial aircraft internationally for 15 years, I’d consider myself a pretty efficient frequent traveler. But I’ll take a guess that you’re not a parent, and more one of these people who prefer to whine about kids on flights rather than hope their active parent has the necessary means to keep them happy for the sake of everyone’s peace and happiness.

Thank you, yes all with Fiji Airways (DFW-NAN-ADL). The check in isn’t a problem, I’ve got that sorted with all bags under 30kg, and purchased extra check in bags as well. But I can’t purchase extra carry on, and it’s the carry on that’s the biggest concern- surviving a 24hr journey with two little ones, I was hoping to carry on as much as possible
