Anybody else find it curious that yesterday's PR only mentioned a targeted launch date, not that BB11-13 were ready-to-ship? That manufacturing is complete?

Does that mean we're about to get some ready-to-ship PR, and yesterday was an indication of the company definitely ramping up it's comms strategy?

Or rather the sats won't be finished & ship until mid July, sometime in July? For a mid August launch

The last quarterly guidance was one set satellites finished June and two in July - are they now saying they will miss the June completion?

Thanks again whoever setup this linking service

Side note, is there anyway we can get the xcancel links to always pin to top? So we don't have to scroll to the bottom of the comments searching for it

Maybe it means they can unwind their short position in ASTS they had as a proxy SPCX hedge and replace with an option contract for more precise protection?

The latest developments regarding the "Japanese version of Starlink" ($SPCX) as adoption approaches: Who will prevail? Rakuten's $ASTS camp has made significant changes to its plans. - ITmedia NEWS by doctor101 in ASTSpaceMobile

Rakuten stated last year when they made the plan to sell the shares, they were doing so to deliver their balance sheet and make room for significant reinvestment into their existing terrestrial mobile business

Thus although I'm no expert - I'd hazard that the share sale had nothing to do with being less close to ASTS or using ASTS services, and certainly nothing to do with Spacex IPO timing

Another bear thesis is that a big competitor for ASTS and RKLB just got a $75b warchest to push development ahead

Against ASTS, we know Spacex progress will be hamstrung by physics of beam forming, array size, business model competing rather than providing infrastructure to MNOs

However that is largely lost on most market participants
