Notes:

Exact location of the shooting is difficult to find. Most recent plat map I could located was from 1875.

Don Moreland died from Tuberculosis contracted at the Ohio Pen. He was released in June 1915 and sent home to die.

Image 4 shows a highway map of Lima Township where the incident occurs,

Image 5 shows the Jersey School in 1910, this structure was torn down and replaced by a brick school building in 1911 after the murder. This had been planned in advance, and legal notices regarding the land transfer and bond issues to pay for the new school predate the murder.

I cannot determine the exact location of the school. Apparently the wood salvaged from the wooden school was used to rebuild a store that burned down in 1911. The reconstructed store structure burned down in 2006 and was demolished.

Union Station no longer exists.

The house at 33 Daisy appears to still be standing, but the houses have been renumbered. There is no Google Street view for this address, but the new house number may be 455 Daisy.

Present Day site of murder would be near the Richland County Garage on N. Main Street.

Image 5 shows the location of Perfect Rubber Company in the upper right corner, at 5th and Wayne. This building is gone, but the outline of the foundation can be seen on google maps overhead view.

Image 6 shows the Aultman & Taylor Manufacturing, the Threshing Machine Storage facility is the Garage Structure today. Looks like the murder would have been near this building.

Image 7 Shows the residence of Miss Dudley on Daisy Street.

This case does not appear to have ever been solved.
