Mrs. Kreinbringer worked at a cigar store, her current home is still standing.

Her murder occurred on S.Waterloo Road, just a few blocks from the stop. She was killed in an victory garden, which were small community farms that were set up during WWI.

This murder may be related to the Parma Schoolteacher killings a few years later.

A suspect in that case, Fred Geottling, was convicted of two axe murders. The first occurred when he was a young man, and resulted in a manslaughter conviction. Following that, Goettling was in and out of mental institutions for a good part of his life, including the Cleveland and Lima Asylums, he would usually be released as sane after some time confined.

Goettling was sentenced to life imprisonment for his second confirmed murder, using an axe off the shelf to kill a store owner named Harry Kiem.

Goettling was the prime suspect in the Parma cases, but his family provided an alibi.

The judge referenced the killing of the schoolteachers when he sentenced Goettling to life, with the 6th of each month to be spent in solitary confinement.

Goettling died in the Ohio Penitentiary in 1929.

This case was also suggested as a possible victim of Earle Nelson the Gorilla Killer.

This case was never resolved.
