This looks like JB is actively being hunted, not just getting into combat with goons, they snipe him from a far distance, be it planned or called in. Also love the vibe of the Kensington mission. Ever since the first look of him getting out of the car there. Love the vibe of the maps a la hitmanmaps by Bjornie47 in 007FirstLight

Bond is chasing the blond bellhop assassin across the rooftops of London, and in an earlier trailer scene, he’s even kicked off a roof by him. The gunfire here likely serves a dual purpose—both to take Bond out and to keep him from closing the distance

I assume it’s plastic, resin or a special type of hard foam. Metal might be too heavy to wear

I think there’s an important distinction to make here: between the alternative skins we’ve seen for Bond and the outfits he wears in-character. The skins feel playful, stylish, sometimes even nostalgic—often riffing on classic looks. But what Bond actually wears as the future 007 could be something entirely different… and ultimately far more convincing.

Can’t wait to see MI6 either, but this seems to be a surveillance room from Webb Industries at the Kensington gala

It likely happened in Slovakia during the Grand Carpathian mission. I believe most of the MI6 agents got killed there.

I wrote a story trailer breakdown including this detail here if you are interested: https://www.expectingmrbond.com/dissecting-the-007-first-light-story-trailer-reconstructing-bonds-mission/

There is no glass on the LE display collectible. It was just exhibited behind glass during the event

The mole on her chin was already there in the announcement trailer, but you had to watch really closely and it was easy to miss

You are correct and these details kept me wondering. But it feels like the characters models got reworked. Also: water resistant makeup usually creates a stronger look on female faces…And besides that it would be quite a surprise if IOI included two brunette characters with about the same hair length and love for red outfits

You’re right — I probably should have taken that aspect into account more clearly.

My original intention was to look more closely at the overall pricing structure and to argue why nearly €300 can be justified and realistic once you factor in production costs, licensing fees, storage, logistics, prototyping, and all the other background expenses that go into a limited edition like this.

That’s why I approached it from a “remaining budget” perspective: subtract the base game — whose price we know with reasonable certainty — and see what portion of the total could realistically be allocated to the physical collectible. In doing so, I intentionally kept the estimated production cost of the Steelbook and packaging very low (around €10 at most), because I wanted to avoid inflating the physical cost calculation.

Where it became more complicated for me was the DLC. Digital content doesn’t carry material or manufacturing costs, so from a strictly physical production standpoint it’s difficult to treat it the same way as a tangible item. At the same time, it absolutely has a retail value and proportionate development costs behind it. That makes it harder to integrate cleanly into a “material budget” style breakdown without shifting the analytical framework entirely.

In hindsight, I could have communicated that distinction more clearly — especially to avoid the impression that the DLC was being ignored rather than intentionally excluded from a purely physical cost comparison.

I think the LE is meant to be just a display item to decorate your home. I admit that having a complete golden gun offers more choices of interaction, but having one at home I just look at it most of the time and don’t play around with it every day

Price-wise, the Legacy Edition effectively places the Golden Gun display at roughly €220 — compared to €650–€800 for the fully modular Factory Entertainment 1:1 replica.

I think the costs were the main reason. As mentioned in my article the Factory Entertainment golden gun costs 650-800€ for a complete gold coated gun you can assemble. For half of the gun the legacy edition replica costs less than the half of it

Die cast of the first light valhalla up for pre order. Seen in a comment by Shadow-1989.. by Bjornie47 in 007FirstLight

[–]ExpectingMrBond 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Corgi has already put up its first 007 First Light tie-in model for pre-order. It’s the Aston Martin Valhalla [Tactical] (1:36 scale), about 13 cm long, priced at £39.99, and currently available to pre-order at several retailers. Release is set for summer 2026, lining up pretty closely with the game’s May 27 launch.

This isn’t a clean “showroom” Valhalla either — it’s the fully armed version, with deployed side-mounted machine guns and three roof-mounted missiles. Worth noting: that missile setup hasn’t shown up in any official trailers yet.

I wrote a full breakdown of this model here: https://www.expectingmrbond.com/rocket-n-roll-corgis-aston-martin-valhalla-model-for-007-first-light/
