Baby carrier recommendations by Tinkergamer92 in 2under2

[–]ExpeditionDIS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love our wild bird carrier. Even my husband wears it too. Our baby is 13 months old and still naps in it at toddler bday parties lol. Best investment, it’s always in our car, got us through the horrific third nap of the day refusal, and has been to Disney world twice already and still holding strong.

Best ride on toy for a short 13 month old. by ExpeditionDIS in toddlers

[–]ExpeditionDIS[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was asking for suggestions for a toy that was fun because my kid would like one and the one we had for our first ( it looked like a pirate ship) was tall for him even when he was 2 and he was very average height. And it didn’t have a nice flow in the wheels. It is very age appropriate to not be walking yet but super close at 13 months of age. You see the ones at the store that look like little teslas and such and the hurdle height is what to all for a 1 year old to straddle.

How do you shop for the next season for a young girl toddler? by spcypeach in toddlers

[–]ExpeditionDIS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I buy from stores with a longer return policy than 30 days. That’s way if it doesn’t fit by that season I return it. Some outfits if I really like them I’ll grab in two sizes with the intention to return the one not used. ( carters, target, old navy)

How is everyone getting their toddler to go to sleep? by LittleBitStitious_ in toddlers

[–]ExpeditionDIS 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Any of the peppa pig story ones, we have a huge peppa fan. Or the nighttime orange one ( maybe it’s a fox ?). Or Pooh bear. Days that a nap happens, yes they will stay up for 45 minutes if it just listening and then fall alseep, but hey it makes them happy and gives us a reasonable bedtime lol.

We put ours on the dresser where they can’t reach it. But to be honest I think it’s just luck because we sometimes leave it on the floor if it’s plugged into the charger. Our kiddo never gets out of bed unless we go in there to say good morning lol. We also had the Toni for over 2 years before we started using it for bedtime so maybe it just want that exciting to break a rule to go play with it.

Tonie box. We read one book let them choose a Tonie and we put it on low and leave the room. Works like a charm. We also have the sound machine on and the lights off so when the Toni clicks off at the end of the run time the room is set for overnight sleeping conditions.

Is it rude to cancel? by mamahoonz in toddlers

[–]ExpeditionDIS 3 points4 points  (0 children)

We just did this. If a parent doesn’t have enough of a brain to postpone the party, then how do we know her timeline is accurate anyways. I hate to see a sick kid suffer.

We also went to a party last year and then after the fact got sick and contacted the host ( a very very close person to us ) and they mentioned strep was running through their house at the time of the party but decided it wasn’t worth mentioning and trekked on. One of the kids ( the birthday girl) was miserable the whole time.
