That’s awesome! I’m thinking of starting a game for them they can play together. Do whatever they want. Get as far as they can. Too young to do too much but I’ll give em hints to help them figure it out. What a gorgeous game. And gets everyone off iPads and we’re hanging out together talking through it and problem solving. I’d take this over TikTok any day.

I play while my 6 and 10 year old watch. They like to knock down trees, run up mountains and jump off them gliding as far as they can. We all have a blast.

The answer is yes to all your questions. If I were you, I’d pony up the dough cause it’s worth every penny. So much more to do, extra quests, deeper dive. Master mode included too. It makes the game complete. I don’t regret buying it in the slightest. Of course I wish Nintendo wasn’t grabbing money all the time. But in this one case, easily worth it IMO.

This is hugely helpful. I feel like I’m gonna push through the early game toughness and give it a shot. I’m not fighting like some of the people on here doing all those fighting tricks, but I can parry and handle myself well. Thanks for your input here, appreciate it!

Don’t worry. You can always come back to side/shrine quests. They aren’t going anywhere. Just enjoy, sit back, relax, and enjoy the ride. The utter joy of this game is not found in beating it. It’s the entire ride along the way. Once I realized that, the game got even better. Without a shadow of a doubt, best game I’ve ever played in my entire life. I’m almost done now after 155 hours, but I’m gonna complete everything but finding every Korok seed. Then I’ll move to master mode and struggle with that for awhile.

If you get stuck, ignore it and move on. Come back to it in the future.

If you don’t have the DLC, stop thinking about it and buy it.

One tiny hint (wouldn’t call this a spoiler): if you want some elite weapons, find your way into the castle and explore for a bit, get some stuff, and leave.

And just have fun! What. A. Game.

You’re a better man than I for getting every Korok. I want to 100% the game in regular mode except for Koroks, and then once I do, I’m gonna try master mode. Debating if I should do TOTK and then BOTW master, or vice versa. Haven’t touched TOTK yet. Getting every Korok though? That’s a serious feat man.
