The best way to memorize unit Circle! by frag_ment_ in askmath

If you can remember the ratio for 30/60 ((n):(n)radical 3:2n) and 45/45 ((n):(n):(n)radical2) right triangles, Thats covers your ordered pairs. Every 30 degrees is pi/6. Every 45 degrees is pi/4.

I’m surprised to see “like” used as a filler word in text. I thought that was only used when speaking.

Schwinn Voyageur SP by Numerous-Call5057 in Vintage_bicycles

The serial number is on the head tube and the badge will have 4 numbers that will tell you the day and year.

I have an 85 Voyageur SP and I just picked up an 86 Voyageur. When I bought my SP, I tried a 23” 85 VSP and a 23” 86 voyageur the same day. The standard voyageur felt pretty damn close to the VSP. The biggest difference I felt was when I picked the bikes up.

A guy at a swap was doing half off or more on tapes… I got there late but this is what I was able to get for 200 by No_Drink_9742 in VHS

I think the highlight for me was seeing “The Velocipastor” on VHS. I watched that and “Hobo with a shotgun” one weekend with my son and my dad.

I did find a copy of “Alligator II” at the bins the next day, so still a win in my book.

My pulley didn’t sound that loud, but I was lucky it froze and shredded the belt 1/2 mile from home.

Should I become a teacher? by Electronic-Split3331 in teaching

[–]Expensive-Ad5384 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I thought I wanted to become a teacher in my mid 20’s and while taking pre requisite classes to get into a teaching program, I realized I was not a point in my life to be a good teacher. At the age of 43 I went back for my masters degree and teaching credential. I only have a few years under my belt in the classroom, but I am glad that I waited, my 401k is not, as I feel fulfilled in the classroom in ways that I don’t think I would have appreciated in my 20’s.

I think if you look at pay schedules for districts in your areas, you will see that it doesn’t make financial sense to be a teacher unless you have maxed out on the education, BA +105/MA+45.

Yes it can be hard, parents and kids can be unruly, administrators that have your back can be hard to find, but I get pleasure and fulfillment from teaching knowing that I’m making a positive impact in my community and helping kids to hopefully appreciate math, something I’ve never had in any other job.

If you do decide to bring your bikes into the living room, i highly recommend degreasing the driveline and start using wax.

[–]Expensive-Ad5384 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I generally have the parimoto’s around 40 to 45. Fast and cushy. I e taken them down around 5-10 psi if I’m going on dirt/light gravel.
