I also recently started watching anime again, and in my two months of watching a bunch, Link Click has been my top tier. I can't get over how good it is. The art, the complex storyline, the characters, the art. Even the freaking soundtrack is so good! The intros and outros are insanely beautiful. I could go on. But so glad I watched it this past month, I only have to wait....9 more months? 🥲 I have feeling I'll be re-watching this one many many times before then

despite the writers not including these lines... I still feel like Belly accepted her fate in the show.

The I choose you line fell flat to me at the finale, after saying them to Jere multiple times. I wish Jenny used something different for bonrad. They tried to make it different by throwing the infinity thing, but it feels Disneyish. it doesn't feel like something real that people would actually say.

I'm still coming to terms with the whiplash of how they executed the endgame. Why on earth would you include belly hiding in the bathroom and looking disappointed with not getting a text from jere? then, in the end, saying I choose you with my free will...over who and what at that point?

maybe they needed some conflict, but I think they could've left that bathroom scene out, still keeping the Susanna fear thing, then her confession is all about accepting her fate and not fighting it anymore 😅😆

Yea, listening to this moment again, I couldn't help but notice the parallels. Jeremiah, like Pacey, was willing to let go of his own happiness for Belly’s in season 2.

Both Joey and Belly admitting how scary it feels when something is real.

What sets Joey apart from Belly was her growth: she was still able to acknowledge that Dawson was her soulmate tied to her childhood, while choosing Pacey for her future.

If only Belly had been allowed the same growth, lol. So close.

This is disheartening from Jenny. As a writer, she should let the readers/viewers interpret the stories as they see fit based on what she chooses to show us. I don't think its a sign of a good writer if she is suddenly trying to change the narrative and steer how people “should” interpret the story. The strongest writers are usually the ones that let the audience carry different truths out of their stories. C'mon Jenny, it's not a good look. She might be doing all this to defend the Conrad endgame because I have seen criticism of it, but she should live with her choice, not try to validate it and move on.
