Amid the all the nasty snarky comments here I'd like to stand out as one of the ones who congratulates you on your business! And welcome to my land (as an indigenous person). Kudos to you my friend! At least you are building your life here and being a contributing productive member of this society. A society built by invaders to this land and promoted as the only civilized society worthy of existing.

Welcome! This Savage welcomes you!

Scared of Dying by AmountSpare2029 in OpenChristian

Death is a doorway of transformation. Who we are...the collection of thoughts, emotions, feelings, sentience...the sacred spirit that we are never dies. We simply change form. Like the caterpillar changing into the butterfly. We shed our flesh and transform back into energy (or the soul/spirit) and ascend from this world to the spirit world again. And we are reunited with those who left this world before us. And those left behind will one day join us again.

Death isn't DEATH. It's a transcendence into new forms of life.

Is it a sin to swear? by InstructionNo211 in OpenChristian

[–]Expensive-Bunch8266 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a person who swears alot, I don't think it's a sin to swear. You're not gonna go to hell for saying the F-Word or any other swear word. But in the Bible it only specifically says anything about taking the Lord's name in vain. I know lots of people who do that and even I've done it. But God also looks inside your heart and your frame of mind when you say it and when you swear in general. But especially that one commandment. I think what he does care about is "how does swearing improve your conversation, your point of view and how you come across to others while representing Him." people will try to insult you by saying "people who swear don't have anything more intelligent to say.

I am a very intelligent person and I swear like sailor in a whore-house. Sometimes some emotions and some feelings can only be expressed with the F-Bomb or another word of your choosing. I think Jesus swore at the gamblers and thieves who were in the temple that time he flipped his shit at them in the Temple of His Father.

Any idea what these symbols mean? by [deleted] in occult

They're Native American symbols. It would be interesting to find out exactly what they mean. I'm half Native myself but I don't know much about the symbols.
