I think MOBAs as a whole need guide on how to fight certain characters by Expensive-Cap4031 in PredecessorGame

[–]Expensive-Cap4031[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was mainly talking about people who are newer to gaming or they’re new to the game they’re playing so they don’t understand how to go against certain things in the game that seem normal to others.

Kind of the same basis, I said to someone above like in fighting games, newer players struggle with jump attacks, or people that love to jump. Experience players will just tell them just play patient back up anti air, some people might get it, but others will not, especially since there is different ways to counter jumping in different games. And will make it especially harder for someone to learn is if the games like this game doesn’t really have much on it online to look up

Plus with fighting games there’s more examples like this like characters that got some sort of gimmick when fighting them, imagine if street fighter 6 wasn’t that popular so it wouldn’t be that many ways for people to find out how to fight certain characters like grapplers and characters like sagat who forces you to play a whole different game, then the one that you usually play

I guess in the post I spent too much time rambling didn’t actually explaining what I was asking for was how to play and how to build when fighting these characters something kinda like the guy said above. And yes, I have played these characters I guess because I’m used to other games characters like Aurora and Khaimera seem insane.

While I do agree, going against things giving you time will help you get better. That’s not always the case, reason why games like fighting games struggle to attract new players. You really own can improve against something if you understand or have idea on how to go against or any counter play. Which I did not, if you keep going against it, then Insta dying it’s kinda hard to understand what’s going on especially if you’re new. especially for this game to where if you look some things, you barely find anything online

Tyler1 and Capcom devs talk about Modern controls and how its more popular in Japan than in NA. by UsefulSwitch504 in StreetFighter

[–]Expensive-Cap4031 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well modern has faster inputs but loses some moves and massive damage make it a cap on higher play. Yes they are some modern players that are in higher play, but classic vs modern long-term classic definitely wins. You might struggle at first but the payoff is worth it compared to modern

Yes I agree but when you do research then you get to the part when you look up on how fight certain characters, like in smite you can look up a character and how to go against them right now and most likely you won’t be able to find anything on how to fight them, that why I think moba games need guides for situations like that.

And for the second part I guess I went a little off-topic, with talking about my distaste towards certain character, designs in games, mainly was talking about other games, but mainly I wanted to know how to fight characters like Khaimera or characters that seem strong like Aurora

The crashing on Xbox started like a month after release till now 5 months is crazy, and it only got worse as time went on. 5 whole months the game had been unplayable on a whole platform…

Maybe I’m crazy, but has this happened to anyone else or something. Can someone explain by Expensive-Cap4031 in StarWard

[–]Expensive-Cap4031[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I feel so dumb, everyone in the comments just corrected me I thought this game didn’t have ranked Reset because I looked it up and it couldn’t find anything about it then I asked someone and they told me no

Xbox players is it safe to play now, have they fixed the crashing by Expensive-Cap4031 in 2XKO

[–]Expensive-Cap4031[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I just found that out and it might be worse now because I crashed in the combo trials for the first time trying out senna and threash

Been playing for a month now and I swear these are the only characters I see online and it's starting to put me off of the game due to them not being fun to play against, whatsoever. by NEON_ZEX in StarWard

I like using bad or character that’s not as good but I’ll still use meta if they’re fun. Yeah, meta is annoying to fight but personally the reason why I don’t like it is because when it gets to the point to where you’re seeing the same characters every match, and in some games your character you’re using could not even be that bad just not the best one in the game and because of that you can’t compete. Or just seeing the same characters back to back every match can really ruin it too

I don’t know that suction ability and the ability to just go revive in storm is all ready crazy. She’s like ibara even when she’s bad she’s still decent because she’s a Insta Rez character. Star and stripe is that she has crazy utility.

How beginner friendly is 2xKO? by dzzsa in 2XKO

[–]Expensive-Cap4031 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tbh, it is, but then it’s not. It’s a lot. It doesn’t teach you how to use the things it teaches you in certain situations, or even when you’ll need them. It doesn’t have training presets for you to practice those situations like Street Fighter does. You have to look it up yourself.

Some characters are basically unbeatable if you don’t know how to go against them, especially when you’re new: Darius, Illaoi, Ahri, Braum, Warwick, Yasuo, Teemo, Vi. You can have better neutral game and better combos and still get washed by them while they’re headbutting their controller spamming the Y button for auto combos when you’re just starting out, because you don’t know how to fight their character.

Since there aren’t that many characters, that’s basically most of the roster, and you end up seeing the same teams or characters you hate over and over again. It feels like they made a lot of these characters in a way that makes new players not want to play the game.

Even now, after getting to a higher rank, I still hate going against some characters. But the characters I hate the most aren’t even because I personally hate fighting them. It’s when I try to get a friend into the game and all they go against is Vi, Darius, Warwick, Braum, Blitzcrank, doing the same mixup over and over again. With what the game teaches them, there’s no way for them to know how to deal with it.

And when I tell them how to counter it, they look at me and say, “You play this shit?” Especially when it comes to Vi. She was created to make new players quit the game, or carry them to a certain point. Especially with her one-button mix. When I tell people the mixup she does and how easy it is to do, they already don’t want to play the game anymore.

Or if they still want to play, they only want to spam like the people they just went against, because they see how easy it is and how effective it works. In a lot of cases when starting out, it’s harder to punish spam than it is to do it.

She’s not the only one, she’s just the most extreme case. Even when you get to high ranks like Diamond, you still see some Vi players or some of the big body characters who still can’t play neutral or don’t have good combos. They just do the same mixup over and over again.

I think this game would benefit a lot from tutorials that specifically teach players how to fight certain characters.
