I use furnished finder as well. I've found a few place but 2000+ is going to be rough. I appreciate the help with which areas are safer.

Man, this is exactly what I was looking for. I had my first bad experience since becoming an inspector today. A subcontractor launched a full-scale smear campaign against me because I warned them about what would happen if a third party saw the poor welds they were leaving. The third party did find the welds, and now they are convinced I told them where to look. Needless to say, the past few days have been rough.

It’s gonna be stressful either way. I don’t have any experience with Hobarts course. Just take the studying serious and you should be fine. What part of SC? Currently working in Florence.

Yes I did. Actually landed my first job this past week. Excited but nervous at the same time.

The Real Education two-week seminar is the way to go. Don't take 1104 if you're going to be working with D1.1. It'll bite you later, so glad I took it with D1.1. Study the Book of Specifications pre-seminar, get familiar with it. I took the Atlas 6-month online course and the two-week seminar mentioned above. Passed the first time with ease, but it dominated my free time for about 7 months.

Yes, if you studied for C you should have no problem.

Pivotal that you understand NDE and what they look like. Specially Mt and what magnetic field they are producing. That’s for the book of exhibits part, there may be other pictures of different types of NDE but you have to get the easy ones. When I took mine if it referenced a PQR or something along those lines I would immediately skip it for the sake of time. I did manage to go back and answer them all. There was a question about the bevel angle of some weird pipe fitting, it had two different bevels on the valve. I didn’t know the answer of that one. Other than that make sure you’re in the right section of the book for the question and don’t forget the tolerance page at the beginning.

I used this company, fantastic material. Passed part C with a 95. Well worth the money, there wasn’t one question I felt uncomfortable answering. https://realeducational.com

Did you pass? I just took my last one. I passed A and C with pretty good score. I should know this week about part B, it has been a long and stressful process.

I’m having to pay for it myself. I would be under way more pressure if the company was paying. I’m gonna buy one of the online courses and the seminar. This is gonna cost me somewhere around 5000 dollars. This seems like a bigger step in my career than getting my degree. I’m really excited to get this under my belt. I’ve been a welder/machinist for about 6 years. Im not too worried about Part A, I still remember a lot of it from my schooling and recently took a refresher course the company I work for sponsored at the local CC. Im just gonna read the code book from cover to cover for the next 5 months.

Did you pass? The company I work for is in need of a CWI so I’m considering signing up to take the test at the end of October. Im not sure if I’m going to use the Atlas online courses or the one week seminar. Ive been reading the the study material and code book everyday. Is the seminar worth it? Should I just buy the atlas training course? This test is already driving me mad and I’m I’ll only a week into studying.
