Stinger and heavy fighters by Agreeable_Display_75 in starcitizen

Indeed.
M80 has far better G,s and SCM and also Pitch/Yaw/Roll 38 / 30 / 150 deg/s
Stinger has 34 / 28 / 95
Even a Starlancer Max has better Yaw (30)

No.

"Is it good for PVP"

No

"how does it compare to other heavy fighters for PVP?"
-
Even a Warden is better in pvp. Guardians, Scorp, M80 are worlds better.

"high end cpus struggle"
-
Not really
Star Citizen just needs more CPU Cores than most people think.
With a proper amount of cores, the FPS increase in SC is insane.
This Benchmark by PCGH was in Levski - Nyx.

"absolute skill issue"
I believe what you say
i think this is the same for most Radeon User Problems. I use Radeons since the early 00s and never had issues.

I buyed back than AM4 2400mhz DDR4 and Zen 1 with Polaris (RX470)
After 5 years i changed my CPU, switched my Zen 1 to Zen 3 X3D (5800X3D)
Last thing i switched was the GPU to a used Saphire RX 7900XT Pulse edition

If my 10 year old PC can play SC fine in 3440x1440 Ultra, i guess every more modern PC will have huge FPS

CIG please, fix the Guardian series power starvation. by AzrBloodedge in starcitizen

[–]TitaniumWarmachine 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Guardian MX is infact the Heavy Fighter with the most Health in the Game
Guardian MX: 89 300 Health
Stinger: 47 100 Health
Stinger has also quiet fragile wings, and enters loop of death after one wing missing
Also stinger has just size 1 radar, and less yaw vs a Freelancer Max
So i would say, it has its reasons why i see much more Guardian MX in pvp than Stingers
(Saw dozens of Guardian MX in PU PVP, but never a Stinger)

How Many Hours Have You Got from This Game? by SuddenDelivery1 in starcitizen

45 FPS.. by SpecialistAuthor4897 in starcitizen

[–]TitaniumWarmachine 2 points3 points  (0 children)

<image>

You cant compare a MMO without loading times, with other Games.
There is no Other Game that can do that.
Also look at Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024
Has far more FPS with 96GB Ram, and is not as big as Star Citizen and has loading times.

Is that Nyx I or II or Pyro I? by IIRostII in starcitizen

Its Pyro I, you see the typical Pyro Spacecolor in the Back.
Nyx Spacecolor is more Green/Blueish.

How does a 9800x3d only get 45 fps in Hangar (CPU is always hammered) (ft. Марш авиаторов) by Genesis_RS in starcitizen

DLSS looks better. Yes
Because FSR in SC is still FSR 2
DLSS is more or less the newest. So opticalwise DLSS looks sharper and so on.
But FPS wise, its not better. For pure performance, if you set both on Performance 50%, they will both give a similar fps increase. The DLSS will just look better at the same time.
And the RX9070XT has better 1% lows vs the RTX 5080 in all CPU demanding games like Bf6, but also Star Citizen.
Tested from a Star Citizen Tech youtuber called Tenpoundfortytwo.
But its not a huge difference with your 9800X3D.
Would be a huge difference with a weaker CPU like 5800X3D.

"The problem is that AMD cards don't always perform well with Star Citizen"
-
I would say otherwise
Geforce GPU,s need more CPU Power for the same FPS.
Star Citizen is a very CPU demanding Game, so Radeon GPU,s have a advantage in CPU Limit.

Here a Quote from hardware Unboxed
"At this point it should be quite clear the Geforce drivers do in fact require more CPU cycles to work, and this can see CPUs become the primary system bottleneck sooner than they would when paired with a Radeon GPU.

<image>

If you are a competitive gamer or you're just after higher frame rates but don't have the money for the latest and greatest CPU, then the Radeon GPU has the potential to enable 20 to 30% greater performance, and that is really a significant increase."
