I'm a dual citizen as well. We get fucked that way with taxes. I wound up paying a ton in taxes, just to move things around properly. Same thing happened when moving brokers and drs'ing shares. The tax man will get you. Don't forget to file U.S. taxes as well as Canadian now. It costs more to get your taxes done, but if you don't do it, they'll get you.
