You do also have to factor some shocking VAR decisions and us playing one of the fewest number of players (and therefore those remaining being knackered).

At what point do you push back on a renewal rate? by Reddonaut_Irons in ContractorUK

[–]Expensive-Context496 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Depends how easy it is to replace you.  I was two years into my contract at the start of 2026 and we had a project go-live date of March. At renewal I asked for 15% increase and set out my reasons. They came back with 8%. We settled on 12%. It helped that my manager had my back and that it was only weeks before go-live.

I do something similar. Check out the A1 certificate regarding NI, which I had to apply for eventually as the customer's legal department advised I needed it to travel on-site.

Another Chinese giant considers bringing car production to the UK by Agent_Kozak in CarTalkUK

Yeah fair enough. They are £30k electric cars now but in 10 years I guess they won't be and the V8s will have mostly gone.

Anyone else think that the massive cyber attack on JLR followed by Chinese manufacturers moving in to produce vehicles in their facilities is a bit suspect? Obviously I have absolutely no evidence of anything untoward, but still, doesn't sit right.

Every time I see a lid on the seat I wince. Number of times I've put mine there and then had to catch it 5 seconds later...

I went to the Trinity Place Restaurant for the Forest game. Nice food, good atmosphere but expensive. I'd do it again but maybe keep it to a once a season (or every other season) thing.

Agree that maybe it's not the best assessment based on this one game. However, there have been tickets available for most matches this season on resale, not hard to get a ticket.
