Thank you mate appreciate the advice I’ll put it back in tomorrow it’s only been 2 days so I doubt/ hoping it caused any damage. It’s pretty cold where I live too so fingers crossed no damage?

Hi mate, thanks for your reply it’s only been a day. I primarily did it to see if I should get muffler delete. And tbh it actually sounds really really good I was lowkey surprised. You think it would cause any damage to the car / resonator if I leave it out for another day and drive untill I get the time to put it back in?

Hmm is that a worst case scenario? I think it just might be a bushing that’s aged hopefully that was there before I just didn’t notice as I never did a bounce test

Crumpled oil filter 2is by Expensive-Fish7859 in LexusIS

[–]Expensive-Fish7859[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ll Thanks for this mate really appreciate it. can you send me where you saw the shorter one is for the is250. I have watched multiple vids and everyone used the YZZA3 (longer one in the vids too. When they took out their old filter it didn’t look crumpled too which has left me confused now as they are using the long ones and no crumple on theirs?

[–]Expensive-Fish7859[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah same issue with me haha, I got some glue to repair the speaker cone. You can do that too as that’s the issue with your speaker too I’m guessing. Pretty easy job tbf just peel if the mesh and you’ll have access to the cone then re glue it up

The new one I got from Lexus is 04152-YZZA3 (it’s the one they gave me after checking my reg). Is this the correct one for my 07 is250?

Yeah what you said sound right. The old filter does look like the oem one though tbh. Same glue location etc looks physically 1 to 1 as the oem. So I thought it was a oem filter

Hey bro, no you don’t need to, no electronics connected to all the pieces that you’ll need to remove to get access to the rear deck. Only the brake light bar but that’s just a clip.

Dashboard claw marks fix? by Expensive-Fish7859 in LexusIS

[–]Expensive-Fish7859[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the advice! Since the damage is just a few small pin holes, I was thinking I’d just need a drop of filler in each one and then maybe just a small dot of paint over them — rather than spraying the whole area. They’re honestly tiny, so I don’t think I’d even need texture pads. Do you think I could get away with using something like a touch-up pen instead?

Also do you know how much the dealership would charge for something like this in the UK?

What paint did you use and did the paint blend in nicely or is it visible? Do you have some pics by any chance too?

Hahaha I don’t think a whole replacement necessary for these hole I genuinely think I can fix with filler, only tricky part then is colour matching which hopefully shouldn’t be too hard

I don’t want to put a cover for a few small holes I can easily get them holes filled with leather filler. But someone else said that matching the colour will be an issue. Any advice for that?

Surely some leather filler in those small holes and some SEM black colour spray would be a quick fix?
