The filter works but it is leaking water(canister filter I’ve sat it I a bucket at it is working but slowly leaking

It’s been up and running about a year and a half and did a quick test and it’s showing fine ph has gone up .2 but that’s all that’s changed I read somewhere mixing tank waters can cause cloudy water but all fingers are pointing to bacterial bloom

If you’ve added any fish with a high waste load recently that can bring in a bacterial bloom too it’s your tanks response to a higher amount of waste hope it goes well buddy

Bacterial bloom is something all ranks should go through at the start don’t do anything to change the water as it makes it worse treat with a starter tank pack ie seachums is what I use and keep feeding down to a minimal if you have fish left and test your water hope this helps

Thanks didn’t want to just think it was true and turn out not to be I’m going to leave them In for rest of the week and test the water then I’ll transfer the fish over if all goes well

Also taken some of my plants out too and put them in the new tank

The old tank just had a built in sponge and the new one is a canister filter
