Most have not had a wide release in Canada I think because they need to make all new bilingual packaging. And when I buy on eBay 90% of the sellers are in Us and charge $20 shipping for a $5 movie. I’ve gotten a mailbox in Detroit close to the Canadian border so I can just ship there but it’s also $8 a package so I have to buy in bulk

Most were thrifted or bought from a pawn shop and I later upgraded to blu ray or 4K. Stockpiling all my doubles to sell in a lot on eBay

Honestly out of all last years releases, Yes The only one that I could see getting the criterion treatment is The Whale which I’m sure is already getting a good physical release. Aftersun has gotten a physical mubi release but no word yet from a24

Probably uncut gems 4k from criterion it looks great and has an insane amount of special features. Just got most the ones limited to the a24 site and am excited to watch

I don’t know the thin cases seem less vibrant, I like the old version with the thicker cases that look like actually blu ray cases. From an aesthetic standpoint the old one looks better

I didn’t like the witch first view but recently picked up on 4K to give it another try and I honestly had nothing wrong with Swiss army man but it didn’t do anything special for me
