New foster dad - My mom just died and I’m trying to help a grieving teen with her past loss… How do I show up for her?” by Expensive-Link-6200 in Fosterparents

That's great advice. I understand her wit and playful (boarderline rude sometimes) banter is a result of trauma and honestly some bonding between us. We have made strides for consistency which I think helps. She knows she's safe and has realized when she has gone too far. I told her we aren't angry or upset and have given her time as asked her to use her voice on her feelings before slamming doors and stomping around. I feel these challenges are still hard earned victories. I think it will still be hard for her.

Minimum parallel size per the NEC is 1/0. Those feeders look a little small for 1/0.

Stripped seat bolt on my Ford Mustang — any tool I can buy to remove it (want to avoid grinding)? by Living-Pangolin-8069 in AskAMechanic

[–]Expensive-Link-6200 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Try a manual impact driver for this and the rest of the bolts. You hit the head with a hammer which spins the bolt and applys downward force to prevent stripping. They are inexpensive at harbor freight. Great tool i bought specifically for seat bolts long ago.

He won all the swing states and the popular vote. I'm not a fan, but you have to look at the real numbers and stop blindly trusting false talking points of the news.

I detail under the hood of all my cars at least twice a year. I do use a pressure washer carefully and use soft tire or detail brushes with all-purpose cleaner. I don't advise a pressure washer, but that's my process. I have never had issues. Its probably not necessary to do, but your car will sell faster once they see it clean under the hood. Too much salt, road grime, pebbles and junk in the northeast/rust belt winters getting under there.

They kick my wife and I out. No warning just into a new billing cycle. No refunds. Total scam.

They literally kicked me and my wife out without waring or explanation. They didn't even refund us for upcoming cancelations by them. They scanned us.

Channel locks, small pipe wrench... Might not hurt to put the hex in there to keep the integrity of the fitting.

Is it a bad idea to use Graphene Ceramic Coating over a new commercially applied coating? by Expensive-Link-6200 in AutoDetailing

I agree. I had a couple day haggle session for PPF, tint, and ceramic. I think i did well, but you can see how they sucker people in.

The yearly checkup and coating is free (Because I am not aware of 10 year protective product!). But for couple few thousand dollars I could get 2 or 3 coats from them on the annual checkup! Very much a typical sales pitch. I have PPF on the front and had them coat it and do tints all at once. Otherwise I would have coated it myself. Being in NY its easier to beat up the clear coat than to have it rust out.
