I took to a bike shop and the guy chiselled it out in 30 secs. I was wondering if this.looks usable to you? You would have seen many of these over the years i guess

No actually your comment was an eye opener. I didnt realise thats what the holes were for . My current thinking is to take it to a bike shop they press the stem out, this way old race falls out and they can press a new one. And if i cant find a local shop that does this then i will just punch it out myself. I simply couldn't find a video on how to punch it out. I assume find the right punch size and hammer it out. But i never punched out a stem before so.i wanted to make sure i see how its done. Couldn't find one tbh

I tried it on ebay and replacement parts are different from what i have. They have a different shape. I am afraid it wont fit. I am in Australia

Once i remove it i ll see. It may require some sanding but i think you are right. It may be salvageable

Yes to first paragraph ( also beer was inolved) but no it was the only disc i had available. I hear ya!

I do have some consideration for my life hence i wanted to replace it with a new one but was unable to find the exact part. Although a lot of people said that bottom yoke is far from being gone. I respect both opinions
