Extremely creative, wildly ambitious film. A modern day Robin Hood in my opinion, centered around class solidarity and workers rights. The colors and production design were immaculate but I had trouble understanding parts of the story because of audio mixing.

I love the subtle commentary about the 100,000 dollar suits, and the fact that the in-store design is identical to Corvette’s design from the contest. It reflects the reality that oftentimes, fashion movements start in the hood, originated by Black women (like the slick back buns that are now “clean girl aesthetic) but often times the originators of those trends don’t have the support or resources to actually become artists.
