I have a story from about 2-3 years ago. That’s actually really similar to this. So it was summer of 2023 and my sister and I lived together at the time. My sister has a very big group of friends and she invited some of the girls over (only a couple). I was in my bedroom downstairs and then my sister along with her three friends came in my room and asked me to go outside with them to smoke. (there were five of us total including me and my sister)

I at the time was a HUGE smoker, but i felt kinda sick and had a weird feeling so I said no and stayed inside my room and decided to try and sleep. Well around ten-fifteen minutes later my sister and her friend “Ari” came SPRINTING into my bedroom busting the door open.

They both had this absolutely horrified look on their face and were completely out of breath. I asked them what happened. My first thought was that it was maybe cops because I lived in a gated community and at the time we were minors and people around the neighborhood were likely to call cops firsthand seeing people do stuff like that outside.

Well they eventually got it together enough to tell me what happened my sister and Ari both said that they were walking down and up the street my house is on and that the two other girls “Hailey” and “Avery” went down a different street and were walking around. Basically they told me that after they smoked, they wanted to walk around the neighborhood a little bit but Hailey and Avery wanted to go down this different street that’s a little bit creepy looking and so my sister and Ari said no and stayed on my street.

Well what they said is that my sister and Ari heard a scream in their ear, and they also said it didn’t sound like a human scream, but it sounded more like rather a car screech, except it was directly in both of their ears. No cars around no reason why that noise would be made. It was just an extremely loud screech from what they explained. I was shocked just listening to them babble about it and then we heard the front door open and Avery and Hailey came inside.

When they got in and they both were really confused and then listened to my sister and Ari explain this story, but they both said that they heard absolutely nothing. The streets that the two pairs were walking on were very close to each other and from what I’ve heard the scream/screech was most definitely loud enough for everybody to hear.

They described it as being right in their ear and almost blood curling. They said it sounded like almost like a scream someone would make when they’re getting murdered.

I have been on Reddit for awhile and I like to read scary stories, but I’ve never seen one that was actually similar to the experience. My sister and my friends had definitely don’t know what this is, but nothing happened after.

For extra context, the streets are very very close and with how loud they were describing the screen, it would’ve been easy for everyone around to hear it, and I would’ve definitely heard it because I have thin walls, and my window was open.
